I'm leaving in 2 days, and I'm still making changes to my reservations!!!
Anyone need a challenge?!! I'm still packing!! But, can't keep thinking about this!!!!

Anyone interested in taking a look at all of my options, and not easily thrown off? I almost posted them, but decided that I'd get too many responses about how not to make last minute changes to my trip ...blah, blah, blah....

I've already heard enough from my DH who's not going on this trip. His advice for me was to stay home!! Too many moves, too hot, and no 1bdrms?!!

Okay, here it is:

Have an AP, DVC, DDE etc....too many options!!
POP June 20th 1 N can add on more nights...
Staying off site 3-4Ns near Universals/Sea World & with friends, I can take off a night or two since my DD & I would be dying to get to WDW....
**June 24th POP 1N modified ressie since it originally was booked through July 3rd ...if not stay off-site Need to cancel by 10pm tonight....

WDW trip begins here:
BWV checking in 25th -30th 5N **(4 Ns were available just last week!!) 1 N still waitlisted but okay have options...
Should I change resorts for money savings over the weekend?
June 30th-July2nd Try ASMU for the 1st time or back to POP, BWI, or BWV add on more nights, 56 more points ??? 225.00 for value 425.00 for deluxe w/ AP rate
July 2nd-7th BWV PV Set in stone!!! (3N wlisted, came through)
July 7th-12th BCR or BWV 7th-13th ??????This is where I'm stuck...I can add two weekend dates to my BWV ressie (2N 56pts), or keep BCR for 2N (420.00)go back to the BWV for the next 4Ns...July 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th...2 Ns still waitlisted, but I have options...
July 12th BWV***can cancel & use points elsewhere....

July 13th-18th OKW or BCR ....... have OKW ressie for 5N (3N pts, 2N cash w/AP 355.00), but already know BCR & we would love it there. OKW is new to us...So, could stay BCR 3N($630)or 2N(420), OKW last 2Ns?....or...POP July 7th-16th 9Ns OKW last 2 Ns....

I have a place to stay for everynight that we're there...I don't mind moving 3-5 times since we'll have a car and we're there for 28 days!!! My daughter loves POP, BCR & BWVs etc....I'd like to try OKW for future trips with family...

Okay, brilliant planners, where are you?! I know that it's Father's Day, but take a little break and try this brain teaser?!! I'll keep packing....then check back..hurry though!! I'm calling to make semi-final changes tomorrow am....

OK, I'm not sure if I'm following everything correctly, but here are a couple of my thoughts. I would try OKW for sure, it is a great bargain for family stays and a wonderful, relaxing place. If you have plenty of points, maybe stay a couple of the weekends at BWV or OKW in combination with the weeks you are there. We love Pop for value and I would go there for the weekends where I didn't want to use points, or POFQ, which is another favorite. Although when you are staying that long, trying out places you haven't been B4 is a neat idea. As for the offsite part, we too would be in a hurry to get to WDW! We are staying for 14 days in Aug/Sept. 28 would be fab, especially if we could have our grandkids and my DS, DD and DS in law with part of the time.

Holy buckets, Cinderpals! I can see why your head is spinning! I think I would need to write it all out on a calendar with color coding to keep the whole thing straight! Still, I will take a stab. Even if I pick something that makes you say "no, I don't want to do that because" then you can cross that off and do the other thing, right?




June 20th - 24th - Instead of moving from POP 1N to offsite for a few nights to POP 1N, could you do 2 nights at POP to get your Disney warm up, then 3 nights Offsite with friends? That way you are only moving one time and you get a little concentrated WDW time so you could actually see a little something before going offsite?

Then BWV June 25th - 30 -- is your waitlist night the last night? THat would make it a simple choice to move elsewhere a day earlier, right? Of course if it is in the middle, that is tougher.

Then June 30-July 2, I vote for try ASMu - interesting to try new places, is my theory there.

July 7-13 - if you can do all BWV, I say do it! You are moving plenty as it is - if you have the points, make it easier on yourself. I am getting an unsettled feeling just looking at your plans, so I hate to think of you constantly zipping and unzipping your suitcases. My bias is to moderate moves, though. If you or your DD are going to feel more sad if you never make it over to BC, though, go ahead and switch in the middle as you have planned.

July 13-18 - I think you should definitely keep your OKW ressie as is - call it a fact finding mission, call it easier to stay in one place - OKW has always appealed to me, so that is my bias.

There, that is still 5-6 moves and lots of resorts - my opinion isn't even worth the paper it's printed on, of course. What do you think?

Hey!

Okay, you helped me decide to keep ASMU and OKW ...

Here's what I'm doing so far... just got off of the phone with member services too...they had some of my weekend nights available, but I didn't take them...duh! I really want to stay at the BCR for at least 2 nights!! So, it looks like I'm eliminating our second stay at the BWV stnd and adding more nights to the BCR...makes more sense for me.
CRO didn't have any more nights to add to the POP, so we're there for 1st night then off site for the next 3 nights unless the next night becomes available at check-in tomorrow. That's fine. I have to spend time with our friends sometime. They want to take my little girl to Sea World...I'm not looking forward to Universals, but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised...I've read mixed views on the disboards. It sounds like fun!

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to moving, but I packed our clothes by the week! I have an overnight bag set up with suits, toiletries etc... and a larger suitcase with clothes by the week set up! I think that it won't be as bad as it sounds. I better check out the resorts now, as my husband will not move!! He's made that clear, does not like packing up, then moving etc...So, we'll get all of the urges to move out of our system.

You sound a bit more settled with your plans now - it makes sense to do a bunch of moves this trip if your husband refuses to move! I hope it all goes really smoothly for you and that you have great weather!

Are we on the same med cruise? From your ticker, it looks like maybe we are, unless I have my math wrong......

Hi! Yes, I'm much more settled today...I only called MS 2 times! Once in the am, and right before they closed tonight to see if my waitlists happened to come through. They haven't, so I may call and revise tomorrow before I leave for the airport. Actually, I'm feeling better about the options that I've set up. I'm going to wait a day or two and call MS on Thursday to make any changes.

Hopefully, I'll be able to add one more night to my 1st night's stay at check-in.
I'm looking forward to trying out the ASMU, OKW and BWV stnd view for the 1st time too. I was tempted to break-up our ressie at the OKW, but I know that I won't have the opportunity to try out this resort with my husband. So, I'm glad that you both had reminded me of this. I'll be fine with the moves. If I get tired of moving, I won't modify my reservation at the BCR and stay there for 10Ns towards the end of our stay. At least I have some backup plans.

Thanks for posting your thoughtful comments and suggestions to my crazy scheduled stay. I'm all set for now! Just need some waitlists to come through...have my ADRs, park visits planned, activities booked. It'll be a great trip! I also just added myself to an add-on list for more points.

Yes!! Are you on the same Meditteranean Cruise?!! It's the Beg. of August '07... Gosh, can you help me plan that one! Don't know a thing about Disney Cruising, just know that I want to go!!

Yes!! I made it back on Tuesday as scheduled. I did make changes to my stay after all!! I'll post details as soon as possible ---as my DH & DS just made it back from their trip this morning!
