So I'm sitting here at work, trying to figure out what to do tonight. My fiance is stuck here on campus in a rehearsal till 11 or midnight, and I can either

1) Go home and clean the house (about 25 mins away) and relax, and then drive back and pick him up

or
2) Go to Borders (like 5 mins away) and read wedding planning stuff until he needs to get picked up.

His parents are coming into town tomorrow (don't know what time yet, might not be coming at all because they like to say they're coming and then change their minds last minute) so the house should be cleaned a bit, but I should also be prepared to hammer out some wedding details because they always want new updates. Also, I'm exhausted for some reason, which makes me want to go home and relax, but I know I'm tired enough not to want to drive all the way back. Not sure if I'd rather spend time at Borders while tired and save myself the driving, or do all the driving but get to be at home. Which would you do?

Duh ... Borders! :rotfl: That's a no brainer!!!! Grab a coffee or tea, read and plan away! :coffee: Make him clean the house when you get home. After all, they're his folks! ;)

:rotfl:
The poll is neck-and-neck.... so much for having the DIS decide for me! Come on guys!

I had to choose home.. its so cold here I cannot even imagine not being snuggled up in my jammies!

If you have to come back and pick him up, I say go to Border's. If you're tired you're not going to feel like going back out to get him.

I've never been to a Borders. How long will you have to stay there?

As ridiculously long as it sounds, like 5 hours. Although they don't care if I just sit down in a comfy chair and read an entire book. I've gone in there expecting to spend an hour and actually spending like 4 before, and only left because I had to go to work. Heck, I'd rather read a book for free than pay for it! (And those wedding planning magazines are expensive!)

Yeah, that's kind of how I'm leaning. If I go home I'll be asleep in front of the TV by the time I'd have to come out to get him, and between being tired and how cold it is out, leaving will not sound appealing! It would be so nice to have two cars again!

How late is Borders open? I'd be afraid it would close at 11 and I'd have to sit and wait in the cold car for an hour.

I voted for comfort of home.

They do close at 11, but my office is right here on campus so I could just come inside and DIS to kill the time.

Actually, if the cable still worked in the office, I'd just stay here and watch TV and DIS, but it stopped working over the summer and they never bothered to fix it.

Well, I just voted Borders which made it an even 10 vs. 10... Guess that doesn't help much!

I just figured that even though you are tired, checking out the wedding stuff at Borders can be relaxing because you can find a comfy chair to lounge in. I always love hanging out at Borders anyway whenever I get the rare chance!:coffee:

Besides, why clean today what you can put off 'til tomorrow? That's coming from a major procrastinator though! ;)

Lol, yeah, I feel the same way except that I'm worried that they'll get here before I get home from work. Luckily I did a decent kitchen cleaning yesterday, so I guess I could do a 20 min straighten-up tonight before bed or tomorrow before work, just in case.
