Fact: I need a bra......
Problem:HOW DO I ASK MY MOM?

PLEASE HELP!

"hey mom can i start wearing bras?"
not that hard

Just ask her.

Go up to her and say "I'd like to get a bra."
It's not really that hard, your mom is a girl she'll understand. (:

::yes::

Just be frank about it. Every single girl in the history of forever has gone through this. Puberty is awkward and interesting, but every girl goes through it.

Your mom probably already knows it's coming.

Be like, "hey mom I need a bra" lol

Like Kayla said, she's a girl too she'll understand.

Dev, be nice xD

Anyway, just ask her.

She'll understand, its nothing to be embaressed about.

:rotfl: omg i know!
thatthatTHAT is the worst
thats whats what happened to me
D:

Hahahahahah ME TOO!
I was so embarrassed. lol

She was like, "Kayla, you're starting to develop, and I think it's time you start wearing a bra." lmfao!
I turned bright red. lol
I was in 6th grade. hahahah

omg whats more awkward is having your mom tell you you need one first.

:cool2:

A mom here, chiming in. This is what happened with my daughter. She goes to Catholic school so she wears those thin, white uniform shirts and white polo shirts in the summer. It was becoming WAY to obvious and too much was showing. She wanted no part of wearing a bra because she was afraid the boys would notice and make fun of her. I told her they were going to notice a whole lot more than some added material! ;) I told her that at her age (I believe she was about 9 or 10), every day a new girl would be wearing a bra and soon enough she'd be yesterday's news as far as the boys were concerned.

OP -- your mom is probably waiting for you to bring up the subject because she doesn't want to embarass you. You're probably each sitting there wishing the other would mention it first! Go to her -- if you're not comfortable with her, try an aunt, a grandmother, a friend's mom.

DearGod, did you NEED to remind me of that? It was sooooooo embarrassing, especially since I got it at CHRISTMAS and opened it infront of my DAD!
I wanted the Earth to open up and swallow me whole.

My mom & older sister pretty much bullied me into the bra thing xD
My mom was nice but my older sister was like "Your b**** are gonna get saggy & gross if you dont wear one!"
i was like omg NOOO NOT WEARING A BRA!
xD
i was in like 4th grade!!
XD

i got deoderant for chirstmas
and i was SO embaressed xD
but that is SOO much worse!

Just ask your mom, i got my first one like last year...i didn't want to ask my mom, but i DID NOT want her to tell me...but before i could ask her my sister was like, you need to wear a bra, and i think bout it, sort of embarassing having your older sister telling you to wear a bra! ( way better than your mom though! )

Just say "Hey mom... I think I need to start wearing a bra. o-o;;"

I'm a guy, but I can't imagine it would be THAT bad.

Guys have to deal with their own embarrasment. Believe me.

I was a very reluctant child towards bras.
I wasn't full comfortable with a like REAL underwire bra till about.. 12 or 13.
Now, sports bras are the devil.

Lmao.

I liked sports bras when I was young because they would squish them in so people wouldn't know that I had any.

Oh the girls in my elementary school were MEAN! I remember by 4th grade, they'd go pick at your back and snap your bra to make sure you were wearing one. If you weren't you were made fun of! :sad2:

The boy that sat behind me in 4th grade would snap my bra, too! Then he'd laugh hysterically.

It was so embarrassing for me! I wasn't very 'developed' but my mom made me wear a bra anyways.

And then in 7th grade I felt like I was the only one who hadn't started my period. Total opposite, hah.
