I have a plant that I inherited from my grandmother. It had been in her family for years. The problem is that none of the living generation seems to know the name of this plant. It has very strong, round stems that can snap easily when broken. The stem system seems to hold alot of water. The plant grows straight up and grows lots of medium sized "branches" out of the main stem. The leaves are what I would call an almond shape. The leaves have a pinkish tint on the underside. Each leaf is about 4-6 inches long. The plant grows little pink flowers. The flowers grow off of a pink stem off the branch areas. The little flowers have a begonia look to them. The plant thrives in medium to direct sunlight. It is about 5 feet tall at the moment. I have it staked to tomato stakes for support. The plant is a very hearty plant. Maybe it is some type of begonia but I would love to know the name.
Thanks everyone.
