My parents decided to join us on our family trip and offered to watch the kids so we can go to Victoria and Albert's. Only, I already had ressies, now I don't know what to cancel? Help! What do you think? Where should I put it? What would you cancel?
MOnday September 19@11:00 Rainforest Cafe 7 pp
MOnday September 19@ 8:40 Tokyo Dining for illuminations(9) 7pp
Tuesday SEpteber 20 @ 7:40 California Grill 7pp
Wednesday September 21 @ 2;20 Garden View tea 7pp
Wednesday September 21 @ 8:20 Cinderella's castle 5pp
Thursday September 22 @ 3:35 Fantasmic Brown Derby 5pp
Thursday September 22 @ 9:45 O'hana's 7pp
Friday September 23 @ 10;10 Tusker House donald character bfast 5pp
Friday September 23 @ 5:10 The Plaza or Boma @ 4:50 7pp(cancel one)
(As of now planning on getting tickets to MNSSHP this night)
Saturday September 24 @ 6:30 Mickey's BBQ 5pp

The more I look at it, the more confused I get. LOL. Also, for those of you that have been, is it worth it? I've always wanted to try.

I'd cancel Rainforest Cafe since it is not unique to Disney.

Yes, it's worth it.

From your list I'd probably cancel the Plaza or Mickey's BBQ. However, if you chose Boma, I'd stick with that. I was underwhelmed by the California Grill, but given your time slot, you'll be there for the fireworks, so I'd keep it. O'hana might be another skip, but Fantasmic may finish to late.

Going your last night might be good or bad. It might be a nice send off...or you could be exhausted from a week at the world.

I'd cancel any one of those for V&A's...:thumbsup2 But if I had to choose, I'd drop Boma...

V&A is totally worth every dime for the experience, the food, the service.. and even watching the coffee brew was fascinating.

I would first call and see what reservations they have available during your time frame and then that way, it will narrow down which you have to choose from to cancel. I don't anticipate you would have an issue getting a reservation, but it doesn't hurt to work that way first. Enjoy the experience!

I have checked on reservations, and there are several available for V&A. Coffee brewing is fasinating? Interesting.... As of now, I am torn between cancelling and keeping Mickey's Backyard BBQ. My parents couldn't get this reservation and I have read a lot of bad reviews on it. I think it would be really hot too.

Since it would have to be a dinner, I would suggest your dropping out of either the California Grill or 'Ohana. Let the others go there while you go to V&A.

(And if it did taker the DDP, it would require at least five credits per person.)

For what its worth, I didn't like the backyard BBQ at all.. neither did my Godchildren, who were 5 and 6 at the time. I would take V&A over that any day of the week!

Yes, coffee brewing was fascinating. Even our waiter said it was the most photographed coffee pot in the world. Here is a pic I took of it. But you really gotta see it happening to appreciate it.

What is their policy when booking? Credit card hold or advance payment? Which expenience should I do? If I book online, which one is it?

I'd drop the BBQ, not because of anything about the food or anything but just because when we were there in late Sept it was HOT and I wouldn't want to dine outdoors at that time of year! Or alternatively, since you didn't add your parents to that one maybe you could work things out to "give" them that reservation to take your kids to the BBQ while you and your husband go to V&A?

Thanks everyone for your help! I called VICTORIA & ALBERTS--#4079393862 this morning and made my reservations!:cool1: I decided to cancel MBYBBQ for it. It was just a credit card hold, so I made an online reservation.

Yay...you and DH will absolutely love it. I can't wait to read about your experience.

For us, as I'm adding an adult type meal, I'd cancel and adult meal. As much as we love Boma, I'd probably cancel that as apart from it being a buffet, its not a stand out for the kids. Even though RFC is not special, my kids loved it as it had some novelty value for them. MBYBBQ was one of our kids favourites and they have asked for it again this trip.

Edit: Sorry, I hadn't read the entire thread and just saw you had canceled the BBQ.
