I booked a package directly with Disney from 12/7-12/12 and I kept making resort changes because I have a 30% pin code for the time I am going. I decided to try and tolk to a TA and see if this may make my life easier. It seemed at first it did but now I am not so sure. She quoted me a price for the new resort I wanted, then when she actually changed to that resort it was a different price. Then she emailed me the confirmation received from WDW it didn't show my deposit being deducted as I have already paid this when I had booked my trip. Now I can't sign into my ressie on WDW site so I can't make any payments that way nor can I look at my balance due etc. I am wondering can I now change back to Disney's CRO or am I stuck with this TA. I think I made a big mistake.

TIA for all your help.

you need to have all the reservation numbers you have made thus far in one place... call the Disney CRO and let them know. Check your credit card company and see if they credited you back.

This is where doing the OCD planning before you start booking pays off. All you need is one person that doesn't know how to transfer reservations to touch your account and it will be a big mess. Also, the sponsor of this site is a travel agency, they do a pretty good job, even when it comes to the OCD changes, etc. ya might wanna check with them about straightening out the mess.

and it could be worse, you could be making changes on the drive to the airport?

Yikes!! :scared1: I've done this before so I know how you feel! :confused3
First things first, you need to decide if you are going to keep your ressie through CRO or if you prefer your TA to handle the ressie. Once you've decided, you need to cancel the other ressie. If you are direct through Disney, you can manage everything online. If you are through your TA, you cannot manage anything online through Disney, it has to go through your TA. If your deposit isn't showing up, it may be due to your TA involvement. If you choose to stay with TA, you will need to call CRO and cancel your ressie, in which case your deposit should be refunded to you. If you stay with CRO, cancel (and make SURE it's cancelled) the TA and then call CRO to straighten everything out. Good Luck! It WILL work out! We did this back when we were still between booking ourselves and using a TA....learned our lesson!!

I have used AAA twice to book WDW. The ressie will not show up through WDW website, even the day before you leave. This is because it is under the TA name and info, not yours. You have to go through the TA to access the info. I think you have to repay the deposit on your trip, since it is a new ressie. The WDW ressie has been canceled, so you should get a refund from that. Ask your TA to know for sure. Did they give any explanation why the price differed from the quote? If not, or if it was very different, I would check with a couple other TAs to be sure you are getting your best deal.

I really enjoy using my TA and letting her do all my work for me. I tell her my special requests, ADR info, additional hotel stays for travel, etc... and it all gets handled without me. Letting her handle ADRs alone is enough to keep me using her services!
