Help: I think I Have The Disney Depression

OK, so we've been home almost two weeks. Went back to work to get back into the routine. DS started school last week. And all I want to do is go back to Disney again! I've been looking at the photos and listening to the music. Just can't get it out of my mind! Any advise??? How do you deal with all of the excitement gone? We traveled with a party of 10 and had a blast!

Plan another enjoyable trip back to Disney to have something to look forward to and eliminate that Disney depression! :)

Cheers!

Had a get together with the "Vacation Crew" on Sunday. No talk about going back to Disney next year! :(

MY DS asked if we could go the Disney World this weekend! I only wish! :wizard:

I think I should look into a weekend trip just for him and I. :rolleyes1

Awww that is so cute. When I'm still excited about my last trip....I start researching my next one!! Even if it's a year away you can still do all the planning.

OMG me too!!!! We went on our first trip in January. I have been pricing out trips again trying to miraculously come out with a time and amount we can afford to go again soon. Haha. We are hoping to be able to go again maybe next November. I try to maintain my sanity by coming on here and doing tons of research on everything so that when we go next time we will be fully prepared. I have been driving my husband insane. I look at the pictures and watch the videos everyday. I can't go a day without mentioning Disney World. I am obsessed.

I believe that the standard Disboards remedy for this malady is to start planning your next trip.:earboy2:

I deal with my Disney Depression by planning my next fix....HOPEFULLY when we go next week we can even get the BB so that I won't be as sad to leave!

I always have 2 trips in planning stage - that way when I leave WDW I am already started on the countdown for my next visit. When I get home I start planning the second trip for
my return (or before I leave WDW if I get a good BB offer).

Yep, I've got it bad...

This is when you buy DVC, just so you are already planning your NEXT trip before you come home from your current trip! (DH and I have our trips planned out through 2015!)

Luck You! I usually like doing the same, but DW doesn't like doing that with vacations. I was looking at putting something together for MLK Weekend in January. Kind of hinted to DW about it. It didn't go over to well. DS loved the idea though. It doesn't look good!

My wife and I went to WDW for my first time this past July and I've had the blues ever since. We are going to NYC for a week in December for our anniversary and I can't even get excited about that. I'm on here daily thinking about the next time we can get back.

Awww, you should tell her how much fun you had with her that it was so magical for you.

I too suffer from pdd My waits are every third year. So two years of waiting till year of planning and going.

start planning your next trip! Look at all the different resorts and narrow down which ones you want to stay at! Also youtube videos help me out!

I've learned that the only way I can deal with the doom and gloom of Disney Depression is to have another trip booked before I leave! :rotfl2: I always make sure my trip for the following year is booked before I leave on my current trip so that it's only ever a "be back soon" not an "oh no it's all over now and who knows when I'll be back". It's not possible for everyone, but for me it's the only way I can tolerate leaving! :goodvibes

Only wish I had the option to rebook before we leave! :sad1:

Well the depression is over! DW wants to see the Osbourne Lights this year. She didn't have to ask twice! We're heading back to the Magic during the Thanksgiving Break! :woohoo:  Already worked out the flight deal and working on the dinning reservations. :cloud9:

I have to say, I am feeling it too, hence why I am here! :lmao:

We have done something Disney the past 6 of 7 years. Just came back from a 3 night BLT stay with 7 night Eastern Carribean Disney cruise and I want more!!! LOL, not too spoiled. :snooty:

My depression is creeping in because I dont know when we will be going again. :sad1: I have 1 son going into highschool and another in middle school. I am hoping once I find out what the schedules will be like for breaks, I might start the planning. I always loved the spring (May), but we might have to try something different than that or Easter break next time.

But until then, I will daydream about our past trips and future trips with all the magic! pixiedust:

Cue Jeopardy music...do do do do do do do :hourglass

Go to the school website...they will have an academic calendar you can check out. I will be they have next years already done.
