I just have to share this..... Most of you do not know me however I know from visiting this board daily a lot of us would do just about anything to get back on that ship... I do a lot of traveling for business and the past two weeks I have been working in Ft Lauderdale. So having the weekend off and being only 3 short hours to Orlando WDW & Port Canav. here I come. I just had to do it this close to Orlando I gotta go. So after hanging out doing the Disney thing yesterday morning (Sunday) I just had to go to the Port..... Ok here is a 31 year old guy driving down the bee line smiling ear to ear and I am not even going on the cruise..... There is nothing in the world like coming over the bride and seeing those two red smoke stacks :hyper: I LOVE IT..... I was like a baby I WANT TO GO..... So I go and park down by port and watch as the Wonder sets sails.:wave2: The blast of the horns..... Now I wanna cry

Am I going crazy?? Am I the only one that is like this??? I need to go back NOW..........

If I had the opportunity, I would do what you did!!

I don't think you are crazy. You have some wonderful memories of cruising and this is a way to relive them.

I wear Minnie Mouse jewelry and clothing every day for the same reason. Just a chance to keep some of the Disney World and Disney MAGIC magic alive in the cold northland. Some of my friends say that having me wear stuff like that brings a bit of Disney magic to them.

So, do what makes you happy and save up for that next cruise.

At least you are DRIVING distance from Cape Canaveral! We are 10 hours FLYING time! However, having been on 3 "Magic" cruises, we would sail every week if possible! Just need to win the lottery! Book that cruise now, my friend. Its just what the doctor ordered for tired, middle-aged "kids" like us! Love from a couple of 50yr old children in UK!

Geez, so not crazy! I would do the same if I was down there! I saved the audio of the DCL horn on my computer at work, so when I am having one of those days, I listen to it and think, "Just think, Jill, only 350-some-odd-days to go!" You had the opportunity to do it in person, you lucky little bugger!

Or, on the other hand, we both could be going crazy:hyper:

LOL...

I'm not the only one. My DH and I were in Flordia on business. We had 2 extra hours so went to MGM and rode the Rockin Rollercoaster twice before going to the airport to leave. Talk about making FULL use of our APs.

Dave from Marietta told me how to attach the MAGIC's horn to my e-mail so when we get mail we hear the horn. We also have our leis from the Caribbean dinner hanging in the bathroom, pictures on the cabinets in the kitchen, I wear a cruise line pin every day and will talk about MY SHIP at every opportunity.

Glad to here that I am not the only one...... I am still in Ft lauderdale and trying everything not to Call all season and change from March to Saturday

Brent..lol, you should have called...we are in Fort Lauderdale and we were thinking of doing exactly what you did...lol.

Our first disney cruise was the 9/13 magic...we already called our ta for possible dates for the next cruise...lol. We now understand why everyone is so addicted.

Gee -
I wish I had that audio clip....
how can I get it????:(

When we sailed on the Magic in April of 99 we happened to go back to Disneyworld the following September and we went right to the port from the airport because we knew the Magic would be sailing soon.
We just sat there in awe wishing we were sailing on her again.
We are not crazy, we have a passion that could only be understood by another Disney cruiser.:earsgirl:

everytime I turn on my computer the Magic Blow her horn and then I see her on my wallpaper.... It helps me get through the day... It really works

My desktop is a small island with three palm trees and a neaby sail boat. My DH has a slide show of our cruise photos on his laptop. Whatever helps!!

We've been on two DCL cruises and have taken the bus both times. The looks on my DD's 13 and 11's faces when we come over that bridge and they see that ship is undescribable. It makes all that is bad in this world go away.

I used to do the something similar. I enjoyed just going to the local airport and just watch the planes take off and dream of going to some faraway destination. At the time, I really didn't have the finances to travel.

The first time I saw a cruise ship, I felt the same way.

Now, I'm a TA and have the opportunity to travel quite often. Although I have visited WDW countless times, I still will drop by Canaveral on a Thursday, Saturday or Sunday to check out the ships in port. Seeing the Wonder or Magic still gets me fired up to take a DCL cruise.

I guess my enthusiasm is contagious. My kids love the 'side' trip to see the ships when we are at WDW and get as excited as I do.

Wow, it's Thursday! I guess I'll try to check out the Port Canaveral cam and see the Wonder! :teeth:

That's not crazy at all! When I took a Carnival cruise last October at this time, I was really depressed that I wasn't going on Disney. Seeing the Wonder at the dock and knowing I wasn't going to be on it was pretty upsetting.

I'm mainly really excited to go over that bridge and see the look on my boyfriend's face when he sees the Wonder. Yay! Getting close!!

BTW...I'll never do Carnival again. It was HORRIBLE!
