I’ve been looking for a resort outside Disney and I’m overwhelmed! I’m going to list out our “wants” and hoping someone can point me to a hotel that has all or many of our wants =)

-large, awesome, pool
-splash pad and/or playground
-fireworks view
-balcony
- price of $370usd/night or less (preferably less but we want peak season :), but also other rooms available (without our wants is fine) for 200usd/night or 2-bedrooms at 570usd/night. It seems like Wyndham, Hilton & Hyatt would be in our price range. But not four seasons (unless there is a cheap way of renting rooms through timeshare or something I haven’t heard of).

Wyndham bonnet creek seems like a good one, but I cannot find anything anywhere about fireworks views. Truly that is the main reason we want to venture away from Disney - a fireworks view over Easter outside what we are willing to pay per night. We definitely don’t want a perfect view; I know it will be in the distance but I’d like to see the high ones and relatively unobstructed (i.e no big trees in the way like at pop).

Any other timeshares besides Wyndham? I’m such a newbie :)

We stay at Wyndham Bonnet Creek a lot. The fireworks views are not guaranteed. However you can go to the mail building and they open up an area for you to watch them.

Make sure to rent points and not book through Wyndham. I’ve even gotten it from eBay.

Thanks for your reply :) Do you know of any reputable companies that rent points? I’d like one similar to David’s DVC rentals or DVC Rental Store (although I know it isn’t DVC =)

You could check into Mariott World Center. They have their very own laser light show and really nice pools. One of the Mariott time shares also share grounds with the hotel if you needed more than a hotel room.

You don't rent points at Bonnet Creek, you rent a reservation. You can find them on ebay. Also, Vacation Strategy and Vacation Upgrades are often mentioned in the We looooooooove Bonnet Creek thread.
