HELP!! I need Pirate Clip art or SOMETHING!!!!

Hi all!

I am planning a pirate pool party for my son this year, and I wanted to do something 'cool' w/the invitations, so I have great wording - that I 'borrowed' from another website, but need GOOD pirate clip art!! Or graphics or something... If anyone has good sites or pics to share for the invitations, I'd appreciate it!!! I am new to the Dis boards, and wasn't sure where to post this message anyway, so, if I am in the wrong spot, please guide me to the right place!! I really don't want to resort to store bought invites - I much rather do them myself.. and the wording I found is perfect!! (but a bit long! LOL)

OMG you have to go to ACMoore and they just got in the cutest stamp set!!!! It's only $10.00 too!!!! I think it's All night media and it's a pirate stamp set with the party theme!!!!! You get the Pirate, a treasure chest, the skull and crossbones and the date, time, place, and rsvp stamp! It is wicked cute!!!! I just got it and love it!!!! I used my 50% off coupon and it only cost me $5.00!!!!

I have to get there yet, had to scoop ice at the kid's school for field day yesterday, and now I am working.. UGH! But, I had some help from Amy on the DISigns board, what a great help!! She sent me the best graphics w/Jack Sparrow.. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO cool!!!!!

Awsome!!!! Well let me know how you make out! I could always stamp some images for you if you can't find it and mail them to you! Then all you would have to do is color them in and cut them out to put on your invitations. Just let me know!

I am not sure yet, I recently started living with my boyfriend and he has a 5year old son who loves the Pirates of the Carribean, and I thought it was a great idea! His birthday isn't until October! I have plenty of time!

I always start planning early... and I really enjoy it!!! But, I think my kids might be getting too big.. the little one will be 8, and my older son will be 11, so he is not as into the theme thing anymore.. LOL

When my friend had a pirate party for her son she burned the invitation paper around the edges. They were really cute. Pirate costumes were optional and since it was Oct. I was able to find a set at the dollar store that had a hat, eye patch, hook and vest. Depending on how many kids you have, you could probably buy one for each of them. You could also draw beards, mustaches, and/or scruff on their faces. HTH some.

Hmmm... maybe I can use what you might have for the thank you cards, I wanted to make them and tie them on to the favors.. hmm... can you PM what you have to me?? I would appreciate it!!!

Thanks for the tips! I actually got all of the kids POTC beach towels for 'favors'... I am going to tie them w/that rope kind of twine, and... I picked up a 'treasure chest' from a neighbor, they were tossing it out, it is actually a trunk, that they used for a treasure chest for a party - so, I am going to do a hunt and have the kids find the favors, as their treasure, in the chest, cool, huh?? We are doing a pool party, so it is easy to keep them entertained!! Also, the invitations, I am getting RAVES from all the parents... they were impressed.. I printed them on parchment paper, tore the edges, and used a sponge and a brown ink pad, and I sponged the edges to make them look like they were burnt, and let me tell you, they look GREAT!!
Sorry, had to brag a bit, but thanks to Amy and my sponging - LOVING the invitations!!

I will try and remember to bring it to work tomorrow.. I can't do it from home, ever since I got a new computer, hooked up the printer, I can't scan - not sure what I did wrong when I installed the software, but I messed something up! UGH!! Or should I say.. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!! LOL
