Hi All,
Looks like I am certainly not the only new one to Universal Studios!

We will be there 3 days - Mon - Wed 12/21 - 12/23! That's next week! :yay:We are staying at RPH and have 3 day park to park tickets. We've done Disney many times and our plan we always to have an early lunch (11:00) and a sit down dinner around 5:00/5:30. Is there any reason to do it any differently? We are really there for the parks and plan to hit them pretty hard so dinner time would be our break.

I think I would really like to eat at Mythos and Margaritaville. Confisco sounds good too, but I'm not sure we'd be in IA for 2 evenings. If you had 3 days and really wanted to make the most of the parks what would you do? Especially with it being the days right before Christmas? I really would like to make a ressie for Mythos and do they take any for Margaritaville?

Thanks!
Michelle

You can definitely reserve for mythos - link on Universal website. I don't think you can reserve for Margaritaville.

Early entry is 7am for your dates. I know in October when early entry was 7am we were ready for our mythos lunch at 11am opening.

Remember eating in citywalk is very convenient for both parks so if you want to come out for lunch or dinner it will not take away much park time.

I would recommend trying one of the harry potter restaurants, theming is great.

Watching the closing times for Mythos. It frequently closes earlier than other table service dining. You may want to plan that for a lunch.

Hey, we'll be there right around the same time! :yay:

Coming from a place where I was accustomed to planning everything so carefully and minutely, it was really hard for me to wrap my brain around how EASY it is to do things at Universal. So I tried very hard on our trip this summer to coordinate where we wanted to eat with which park we'd be in. I needn't have bothered. It's just not remotely comparable in terms of scale and difficulty in getting places. Everything is so close.

For example: we stayed at the Hard Rock and did a pool day where we rented a cabana and just lounged. We had lunch by the pool, but the kids wanted Three Broomsticks for dinner. So we went there--walked through US to Kings Cross and rode the Hogwarts Express over to IOA. It was no big deal, and didn't take very long.

Have a great trip! :hippie:
