I have tried many, many crumble recipes (Dutch Apple is my DH's all-time fave), and this is the winner! It make alot of crumble. We like it that way, but it can be used for 2 pies if you prefer less.
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* 1/2 cup white sugar
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 egg, beaten
* 2 tablespoons butter, melted
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, mix together flour, white sugar, cinnamon and salt. In a small bowl, beat together egg and melted butter. Stir into flour mixture. Spread evenly over dessert. If desired, dribble top with 1 tbsp melted butter.
I usually bake at 375 for 30-40 minutes, but that would depend on what you were using it for. Good luck!
