Ok so I'am going to WD in Dec and I have two children ages 7 and 2
We are going with a group of Twelve for 6nights and 7 days.We got Free dinning for the time we are there,Ok so my question is if the dinning is "Free" why should I have to pay for my 2yr to eat? Why can't they just had him to the Dinning plan its "FREE"? I don't know if this sounds silly but I just wanted to know how that works. Because I know that he is my snacker and eater so I want to know if there is anyway they can put him on the Dinning plan?
Sorry Iam :confused3

Children under three are not eligible for the dining plan. They are expected to share with the rest of their party.

You can share with the child, or book a lot of buffets. The under 3 set can eat as much of anything they want at buffets or family style all you can eat meals. If you purchase anything at a CS or a la carte restaurant for that child, you will need to pay for it as the child is not going to have dining plan credits.

The only way to get the dining plan for a child under 3 is to list them on your reservation as a 3 year old. If you do that, you will also have to buy that child a park ticket. Buying a few kids' meals out of pocket is most likely less expensive than purchasing a park ticket.

He will eat free at buffets.
The free dining comes along with the tickets, so if you added him as a 3 year old to get dining, you would have to add a park ticket for him as well. That would be pretty pricy, better to just buy what he wants. Also, many CS and TS meals are big enough to share between adults, so sharing with him probably won't be a problem.

I wouldn't worry about it. Did someone mention to you that you would have to pay for him?

But, it is true that if you decide to order something separate for him, you would have to pay for it.

When I brought my godson when he was 2, he would just eat off of my plate. (he was the type that wanted to eat what we were eating, he didn't want any mashed up food we were giving him.) Or he always wanted his cherrios.

A lot of times we ended up doing the family style or buffet style meals. Just because I always went with other family, and those men like to put it down. Then, i was able to get my godson just about anything. The waiter/waitress was always helpful. One time, my godson just kept asking for applesauce. Even though the buffet did not have applesauce, our waitress was able to find us some just for him. We were VERY appreciative. She got a BIG tip from us! :goodvibes

If in doubt, bring some of his favorites along with you in the diaper bag.

good luck on your trip. pixie dust for a fun time :wizard:

Thanks you guys for the advice. I felt silly asking I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't be a problem with him eating off my plate. He is closer to the three side in fact he will be three just weeks after we go thats why we planed to go before he turned three so we wouldn't have to pay for him. With todays encomy I'am lucky to be going in the first place.:)
