Ok 1st trip to WDW, and I would like to reserve breakfast at Donalds breakfastaurus, Park opens at 9am June 18th, and breakfast starts at 8:10 am. So how does that work? That's my Birthday, and I (42 years old) wanna eat with Donald. And is that a good choice?

First, it's not at Restaurantosaurus anymore, it's at Tusker House. Wouldn't want you to go to the wrong place!

There will be a turnstyle open marked for early-morning ADRs. When we went, it was to the far right. We had to give them our name and they verified that we did have an ADR, then let us through. It was so nice to get into the park before the rush, and walk leisurely to Tusker House.

We enjoyed the breakfast a lot, found it to have a good variety and some different offerings from some of the other breakfasts (like the bread pudding - YUM). The characters are Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy.

I think it's a great choice! Happy birthday! You share your birthday with my husband. :)

They keep a list of people with breakfast ressies and there's a spot at the gates for them to enter. Call 90 days from when you want to make the ressie to schedule it (or, if you're staying at a Disney resort, you can call 90 days from your arrival date and make ressies for up to 10 days from that arrival date). Can't say for sure what the odds are of your getting an 8:10 ressie because June can be a busy time of year, so all I can suggest is that you call when the phone lines open (which I think is 7 a.m. Eastern time) and keep your fingers crossed. Hope you get your Donald birthday breakfast wish! :goodvibes

Although I can not tell you if that is a good choice but I imagine it is, if the park opens later than the first seating for the breakfast, you will be led along a rope to enter the park before it opens. You would just tell the cast members you have reservations to eat with Donald. I hope that makes sense. This is what they also do for CRT at MK.

Yes! It's our all-time favorite breakfast! :yay:

Should you book the early time, just bring your confirmation number with you to show at the gate (if they ask, sometimes they don't). There'll be a designated entrance for the breakfast. You can't miss it.

Keep in mind that it takes FOREVER to get to AK from most resorts and it's a good walk to the restaurant as it's in the back of the park in Africa.

Oh, you need to get your birthday fun card that day! Allow more time. 15 minutes extra for that.

:bday:

Thanks, everyone here has been so helpful. Now I did the calculations and it says I can start making reservations on 3-17-09.
I thought I'd be able to make them sooner. My arrival date is 6-14-09. We're staying at the Caribbean resort. So which date is it?

I used two different calculators and I came up with March 16th as being 90 days from June 14th. I'd call at 7 a.m. Eastern time on March 16th. Hope you get the ressies you want! :)

When you say forever, how long do you really mean.......hour, half hour? we are staying at the BC and plan on going to Donalds breakfast. How long, if you know, should I expect it to take us on the bus?

Fifteen -twenty minutes, just riding time on the bus. Add an extra twenty minutes waiting time, just in case you have to wait for a bus.
