Help--I don't know if I want to go anymore

The information and insight I have gained from this board has helped us plan our trip, so we can maximize the good times! i feel that the stress i would have had from regretting doing or not doing something on our cruise without this knowledge, is far exceeded by the stress of information overload on this board.

Hi Aseafish! I too can empathize with your feelings. Even to the point of -- is this money we can use elsewhere. What I ultimately come to though is a place that I created when I was a very young child. I remember waiting all day just to be able to watch the Mickey Mouse Club. I have older sisters and they had me convinced until something like the 4th grade that pixie dust was real. I HAVE to get back to that place every once in a while. I HAVE to relive the magic. It is like coming home for me. I have never been on a Disney Cruise before. BUT there is no way I am going to go through my life without having gone on at least one. The little boy inside of me would never forgive me! When I am stuck in traffic going to work and stressing because I have to be in a meeting in 20 mins., I go to that place. I think about WDW and the magic there. THERE IS magic there. Oh don't get me wrong. Disney is a corporation and it is designed to make money. BUT it is also much more despite the business side. It is a world designed by a gifted Irishman who also could relate to his inner child. His vision is a big part of that magic. Trust me -- there will be many more days when I am stuck in traffic or cramming to get a deadline beat. I need to store up more of the pixie dust inside of me to get through those days. Hmmm -- I guess my sisters were right after all!

One last word -- if you don't go -- we will be the only ones going on the JAN 11th trip -- What fun is that?

Jack

For what it's worth...

...even with over 4500 posts on this board, I sometimes have to step away. I've taken several 7-day "breathers" and then I'm able to come back to the boards with renewed enthusiasm.

It seems like there's been a lot of negativity lately, though. I came back to the boards recently after an 11-day illness break, and thought I was going to have to take a 7-day breather after catching up.

Thanks for all the support. I think I'll just combine the deep breathing and the "breather" and see what happens. I'm smiling again, so that's a BIG improvement. Thanks again.

I know what's really bothering you....

you're afraid the food will be mediocre & the guy sitting next to you on formal night will have a tank top, shorts, & hairy armpits!!

:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

You are probably just having guilt feelings for changing the date not going with your sister! :p

But, seriously, lol... you will have fun... and thanks! This thread has me smiling again too.

Aseafish....
Had to jump in here. Food for thought...
I am sure many of us remember clearly how much planning, crying, sacrificing free time went into planning our "Weddings"

As the day grew closer we got anxious and I personally didn't like anyone! Too much pressure. Will the guests be happy, will the food be good. Will Uncle Joe stay SOBER :)
Because the need for a perfect day we thought relied solely on our shoulders.
Your family is looking forward to this. I can tell you it warms my heart when I see multi -generations of the same families on the cruise! I wish I could rope in all my loved ones at the same time!

As for "negative comments" hey! Take them from where they come. There's always somthing for someone to complain about!
I am taking my third Disney Cruise and feel that unless you've done it yourself no amount of "talk" would equal your personal experience! Go and have a wonderful time!
