Help! I caught RAD last night!

Fantasia, your photos of POFQ are so beautiful I'm now worrying about my WL booking for Dec. I was originally, tossing up between WL & POFQ and because we will be there at Xmas from all that I read on the DIS forums I chose WL. I hope I have made the right choice!!!!

Ahhh, RAD, a potentially debilitating disorder, has taken its toll on me many times!

I get this every single time I start planning a trip. But it never really kicks in until I actually book a room...thats when the second-guessing starts!

I started out in June at WL and my mom talked me into upgrading to BI, shortly thereafter I realized my budget was out of whack & I needed to peel some $$ off my trip. Also I couldn't make my mind up about where I wanted to be so I have ended up splitting my stay between POFQ(which everyone on this thread seems to be crazy about!) and BI. This is saving me money and I get to stay two places I've never experienced before.

But I still spend far too much time going over and over all the pics of my resorts and even occasionally thinking, "well, maybe I would like it better at this resort...." Hopeless!!

OP just remember if you staying PQFQ you can still walk over to POR and enjoy the landscaping,pool and hot tub. POFQ and POR are sister resorts so they share pools and food courts. Relax from what I have read they are both very nice resorts. Remember they are both Disney resorts!

I LOVE LOVE POFQ!! It is so lovely... very charming!! Very quaint... and so relaxing. Give POFQ a chance. I think you'll enjoy your stay here. But whichever one you pick.. you'll have a wonderful time.

love the All Stars and the wonderful bus service I get at All Stars I just might try staying at POFQ on a future trip.

You will love POFQ. It is great. The theming is one of the best IMHO and the size of the resort makes it wonderful. No riding around a big resort picking up people at the resorts.

Relax, I dont think you can go wrong with any Disney Resort.

fantasia, you are killing me!!! just looking at your pics brought me screaming back to our stay at pofq! i am longing to be back there like mad-crazy! LOL! thanks for sharing the memories and your beautiful photos as well as your lovely family!

i'm suffering RAD over our january trip... torn between pop and pofq... i like the idea of saving $ at pop (and the kids LOVED pop, the arcade gives tickets to win prizes at pop!) esp since it will most likely not be swimming weather and the thought of staying at pofq and *not* using the pool is almost painful! LOL! (does disney heat their pools?) but dh has declared pofq his absolute fave resort and gotta keep him happy so he consents to additional trips! LOL! while we always had great transport at pofq, it was somewhat tedious making all those por stops on the bus which is another thing swaying me toward pop... oh, i wish there was a pill for RAD!

I had my doubts (RAD) as well, but Fantasia's photo of the pool at night sealed it ofr me -- POFQ for my little guy!!!

The pools are heated and I went in Jan 2004 and it was very COLD-one night in the 30's but we still had a few days warm enough to swim.

I can tell you guys that the pool at POFQ is warmer and for anyone going during winter time, it's best to do moderate because if the pool is still too cold for you guys to swim in it, then you have the option of the hot tub.

Given the choice... I would choose POFQ over POP. I mean I love POP too, but at POFQ you get your ceiling fan and you get the refrigerator. You have two ways of transportation to DTD. But of course for a relaxing way, you would want to take the boat rather than the bus. You get towels at the pool, so you will always have towels in your room. The room is slightly bigger. The the ground is compact. Most bldgs are centrally located. And this place is very peaceful. Of course maybe not at the food court and at the pool. But the whole plave is very peaceful. This place is great for all ages. Folks who wants peace and quiet while other wants to have lots of fun and have a great time.

I have stayed at POFQ 3x and surprisingly, the bus does not always stop at all Depot at POR. There were a few times where it only stops at South Depot then on our way out to the park. And remember... at MK... after 3pm, the POR and POFQ has their own bus. I am not sure about the other park... didn't pay close attention.

And to stay at POFQ... it's great because you actually can hop to POR pool and enjoy their ammenities too! It was fun to take the boat there to go swimmming and have snacks at their food court and ride the bikes around the ground.

It is a beautiful...very charming resort. The whole place is very lovely. And I LOVE IT!

Your photos are amazing but you have made life even harder for me now!!

I was split between PO and the Poly. I was trying to convince myself that PO would be as good for our first on site stay and at half the price I would have saved a packet. Then I read your trip report and the posts on the Polynesian threads and fell in love with there, decided to bite the bullet and have booked room only but now your photos of POFQ make it look so lovely I am torn again.

I guess I will be changing my mind on and off for the next few weeks, maybe I will wait and see if I can get a good rate with the BRP and make the decision based on that.

Thanks for the laugh today....RAD!! Gotta love it....always wondered what that sick feeling was whenever we booked a holiday and questioned our hotel choices.....we do the same thing with cruise ships too!!!

Those pictures of POFQ are awesome. I would definately go with POFQ over POR, but that is me. We agonzied over where to stay next summer, between POFQ, our sentimental favorite and AKL, our deluxe favorite and decided to split the trip. We have 4 nights at POFQ followed by 4 nights at AKL. That solved that problem!
