First, I just want to thank everyone on here for all the great tips!::yes::

Second, I want to ask if anyone knows where I can find the following items! :confused3

In the last 2 days, I've been to Walmart, Target, and 2 KMarts and can't find:

1. Laundry tablets-I'm going on my first solo trip in 4 weeks and won't have DH along to help me with my giant suitcase :charac2: , so I'd like to take less and do laundry at least once. I'm sure it's going to be cold, so I have to take heavier, thicker clothes, so that means less room in the suitcase!

2. Individual packs of Crystal Light-I was really looking forward to trying these this trip. I don't like water much unless it's ice cold, and I have a feeling I'm already going to be freezing! :hyper: <---(that's me shivering!) I couldn't even find the knock-off brand that Walmart is supposed to have. Does it have to be a Super Walmart? That's almost an hour away. :earboy2:

3. Brita bottle-I'm not sure if I even want one of these. I just want to see one! I read that you could use the filters in just about any water bottle, but I can't find them, either. All I can find in either Brita or PUR brands are the pitcher-sized filters. Like I said, I'd just like to see what exactly they are to see if I want one!

Any help will be greatly appreciated!! :worship:

I've looked at Target, but there is another one a few miles farther away that I guess I could check.

Thanks for the link. That'll come in handy!

I've seen the Crystal Light packets at more than one Target here. If I were you, I would try calling around before making another trip.

Good luck! I'm going to Target tomorrow to pick some up to include in the kids' Christmas "Disney Survival Kit".

Hey! Have a great trip!

I can't help you with the individual pkts of Crystal Light because I haven't been able to find them either.

I also could not find the laundry tabs, someone told me Big Lots had them, but the store here did not, so I checked with the Tide and Cheer websites and read that both companies had discontinued them (because they were not selling well). Another idea is to go to a local laundry mat, where they usually sell the really small boxes of laundry detergent.

The Brita bottles I found at Wal Mart, back with the water purifiers (they are not in sporting goods where you would think they should be). I also saw some at Home Depot (again back with the water purifiers).

The only laundry detergent I have found in tablet form is Purex. I don't know if they still make the tablets, though.

aubriee, I've looked at Walmart for all three items, and while at Home Depot last night picking up the lime green Mickey heads, I did think to look for the Brita bottles. No luck there either! I guess my area just doesn't have these things! :sad2:

aubriee and gymmom, I'm beginning to also think that they just don't make the laundry detergent tablets anymore. Too bad! They were really handy for taking on trips!

disneychrista, I'll still try another Target for the Crystal Light packets. And if all else fails, I'll order some off of the site you posted. I wonder why the grocery stores don't seem to carry them?

If you go to Target check clearance items at the end of aisles. I saw some a few weeks ago at our Target. They were at the end of one the aisles near the diapers with lots of clearance items. Maybe yours didn't sell many and discontinued them.

There are threads here that say that Tide has stopped manufacturing the laundry tablets. You may be out of luck there.

All of our local grocery stores sell the Brita water bottles in the water section.

Good luck.

If you can't find the laundry tablets, how about scooping dry detergent into snack-size Ziploc bags?? I would make one little baggie per load, then you just dump it in and toss the bag! If carrying more than a couple, I would pack them into a second larger ziploc bag, just to help prevent against leakage. :)

(I do this with powdered drink mix--Gatorade/powerade/etc.--when I travel for training/racing).

Walmart sells a small laundry detergent called Sun. It is powder and is for ten uses only. It sells for 92 cents and is usually found near the checkout lines. I bought one for my upcoming trip because the thought of the small liquid detergent getting on all my clothes was scary. LOL. Good Luck!

Well, I went to another Target and was able to find the Crystal Light! I had seen it several weeks/months ago with the clearance stuff as ILMOUSE stated, but didn't buy it because I thought I could get the cheaper brand at Walmart. Well, that didn't work. When I went back to that Target they were gone, of course! But at the other Target yesterday, they had them right with all the other Crystal Lights, drinks, not with the clearance stuff! They were a box of 14 packets for $3.99. I got 2 boxes! I'm going by myself, so I think I'm going to be SICK of Crystal Light by the end of the trip! HAHA

It seems they just don't make those laundry tablets anymore. That's a shame, they were so handy! Will the airlines be okay with powder in a baggie? Maybe I'll just get one of those little boxes from the laundromat, as I shouldn't have to do more than one load of laundry.

I haven't seen the Brita bottles at the grocery stores around here, but I'll keep looking. They didn't have them at Target last night either, just the pitcher size.

Thanks everyone! I'm happy I found the Crystal Light, since that's what I wanted most!

I have seen small boxes of laundry detergent at the dollar store as well. They had a wide variety of them.

I have found Wisk laundry tablets at Walmart over in the health & beauty aids section where they have all the travel size items. The also sell the Palmolive dish wipes there too. Walmart also has the individual packets of Crystal light and Sam's Choice sugar free drink mix in the section where they sell the Kool Aid packets.
Good luck!!

We bought our Brita Fill & Go Water Bottles here:
http://www.cleanworld.biz/acatalog/BRITA_Water_Bottles.html

They shipped quickly. These bottles were a little heavy to carry around when full and I suppose we could have gotten along well without them, but they did come in handy sometimes. I dislike the taste of WDW and DCL water very much, so it was nice to be able to drink great tasting water. I didn't find the taste of the Brita water at all bad in any way.

Another good thing was that you could bring the bottle to the parks empty and fill them there. Once filled, you didn't have to worry about having to dump out/waste the water left in the bottle at the end of the trip/day because it is not purified until you drink it.

About the soap tablets: I couldn't find them either so I filled a small double zip
lock baggie with powdered soap. Never had any trouble with security thinking it was drugs. ;)

mrsschlep-thanks, I'll look at the Dollar Store. I hadn't thought to check there for the small boxes! :D

arkansasdisneyfan-my Walmart doesn't seem to carry the Crystal Light/Sam's Choice individual packets. I also didn't find the laundry tablets there. However, I didn't think to check the travel-size section. Thanks! Hmmmm....I can't remember if my Walmart HAS a travel-size section! :confused3

tinkerbellmagic-thanks for the link. I'll check it out. As I said, I've never even SEEN a Brita bottle, so I don't know if I want one or not!

I got our Brita bottles at Kmart, but they were on sale, so may be a summer item. They were in an odd place near the plumbing supplies and other water purifiers.

Part of our family members didn't care for them because of the way you have to drink from them to get the water out. Maybe if they used them longer, they'd get used to them.

I found the walmart brand "crystal light" individual packets on an end cap in the food section at my local walmart. They were not with the rest of the beverages. I also bought individual bottles of liquid Tide in the sample department at Target.

Ha! I do this too! I also add my dryer softener sheets to the larger ziplock bag.
