I will be staying in a studio at Beach Club in May with my college aged DS and DD. We have done it many times and no problem in a studio.

MY DH has just decided that he will be joining us in May. :yay: I am thrilled that he is coming but concerned on how we will all fit in a studio.
I do not have enough points for a 1 bedroom so that is out of the question and do not want to switch to another resort as I love the beach club at that time of year.

I was thinking of bringing a twin air mattress bed/sheets for DS to sleep in. My thought was to put it by hallway between bathroom and entrance door.

I know it will be tight but we never spend much time in the room but wondering if there is any other way to configure the sleeping arrangements.

I would appreciate any other thoughts or ideas????

Thanks

Mimmie :)

Mom sleeps with daughter, dad sleeps with son.

Cancel your trip, bank your points and get a 1 bedroom next year. Sleeping on the floor isn't much of a vacation to me.

Good answer, Bill. Should have given that one as well.

Any one of us would rather sleep in a air mattress/bed then have no bed at all and miss a year at WDW anyday :rotfl:

Depends on the kids. Our DD and DS, at ages 22 and 20, both opted to sleep on the floor instead of one on the pullout and one on the floor and they were fine with it. It was only our 2nd WDW trip though and we hadn't stayed in a DVC villa yet; they're spoiled now! :lmao:

Is renting points (transfer) from another member an option then moving up to a 1 bedroom? Having off days and hanging at the resort is just as much part of my vacations as the parks are so studio with 4 would not be an option for me, quite frankly that is why we bought dvc, bigger rooms and space. Good luck

My guess is the college aged son doesn't even need an air matress. My kids were happy with a sheet on the floor.

Some of my happiest memories are of vacations spent on a floor in my younger days. Then we would go through the - Good night John Boy, night Mary Ellen, etc, etc, etc. :rotfl:

We've done an air matress in a studio at BCV before. So as long as one of the kids don't mind sleeping on the floor you are all set.

I think you'd probably be most comfortable with two twin air mattresses for them set up in front of the couch, rather than trying to have someone in the hallway. Otherwise, you'll be tripping all over each other.

The studios, except for OKW, have a queen and pull out love seat. That's pretty cozy for 4 full size people. I'd try to get enough points together for a 1 BR, maybe a transfer or rental combined with current points assuming a 1 BR is available.

I checked and there are no 1 or 2 bedrooms available at BCV and we do not want to switch to another resort.

So it comes down to this, we are all just happy to be there and be together so the kids really won't mind the air mattress. :)

This is true, but I would bring a sleeping bag instead.

PS if I were 20 again I think I would rather sleep on the outside deck instead.

I think this is the best solution also... with the pullout closet you will have a lot more room for two twin air mattresses...

Ditto... I think this is the best solution. The studios are small to add another sleeping space...

Actually sounds like a perfect plan to me!! Now to research air mattressess!! Anyone with a good suggestion...........

This one is so easy. Call you guide. Pick up another 500 points. Book grand villa and blame your husband.

Too easy!

The aerobeds are the best! I've had 2 for at least 5 years and they are still great. As for college students sleeping on the floor, I remember sleeping on the floor a lot! They will be FINE either way!
