Help! How to upgradre to Poly Concierge?

Leaving for land/sea vacation for Poly/Wonder on 2/25...
after reading all the concierge comments we want to upgradr to that level from standard room...not sure if I can place call to Poly
or need to contact travel agent again to take of for me...

If your travel agent made your initial reservation, you will need to contact them to have any changes made.

Since the TA made the reservation, they "own" it and they must be the party who makes any changes. (A good reason to make sure the travel agent you choose is a really good one!)

I'd love to contact her, but she is in hospital with premature baby, and I know I can't get her. Is there a possibility of upgrading at check in?

I'm pretty sure you won't be able to make any changes to your reservation. As far as upgrading at checkin, the resorts will generally allow you to do this at checkin IF there is a room available.

I believe the normal formula for calculating the rate for doing this is the difference in rack rate between your booked room and the room you want to upgrade to.

In other words, the rack rate for a standard garden view room during your stay is $404. The Concierge garden view rate is $515. If there is an available concierge garden view room, the Polynesian would probably be able to upgrade you at check in for an additional $111 (plus taxes) per night.
