Help! How long should it take to upload one picture??

I am following LisaTx's instructions, got my website set up, have attempted twice to upload the picture from my documents, and it seems to take forever, and still doesn't upload. What am I doing wrong?

Can you tell me the file size of the picture you are uploading and what type of connection you have to the internet, e.g. 33.6K modem, 56K modem, DSL, Cable modem, etc.

There have been some problems in the past few days with the server at DIS that hosts the web sites. It may be that you just tried when it wasn't working. You might try again later and see if it works.

Unless it is over DSL or Cable, it is going to take a very long time. Even with normal DSL and Cable, the upload speeds are slower than the download speeds. I believe that VDSL has the same speed for upload as download.
