Help? How does the annual fee work?

I am very interested in joining the DVC. I believe I understand about the points and use years but I haven't seen anything about the annual fees. Which annual fees are higher? Are you billed for it? Any information would be great. Plus.....OKW...if I bought resale, do they have WDW bus service to the parks?

We too are considering a purchase. Good luck with your decision. OKW does have bus service to all the parks. There are two threads of thought on OKW location in this regard. One is it's location prevents it from being easily accessible to all the parks. The other is that location doesn't matter bec/OKW buses apparently don't stop at other locations, they go straight from each park to OKW and back again. I'm replying to you based on what I've read in various sources such as travel guides and other disney sites. I'm sure others who've stayed at OKW can give you more specific details.

Annual dues can be paid in full each January, or can be deducted from your bank account monthly at no additional charge, which ever is best for you. Currently OKW has the lowest dues of on-site resorts. However, depending on when you want to travel, generally it is better to purchase where you'll want to stay most often, as your "home resort" will accept reservations 11 months from your checkout date, and non-home resorts accept reservations beginning at 7 months from check-out date. Sometimes resorts can be difficult, if not impossible, to book at the 7 month window in busy seasons.

OKW - $3.16/$3.13/$3.22/$3.39
BWV - $4.02/$3.83/$3.92/$4.10
HHI - $3.26/$3.32/$3.49/3.69
VB - $4.08/$3.98/$4.17/$4.37
WVL - NA/$3.63/$3.80/$4.05
BCV -- opened at $3.77/$3.97

Yes....if you stay at any DVC resort(OKW,BCV,VWL,BWV) you have bus service to all of the theme parks.

You are billed for your dues and taxes, yes taxes, beleive it or not, in January. I pay about $900 or so for 270 points at OKW. It is hard to believe that we pay taxes because we really are not owners of the property, we are just leasing points. I pay in one lump sum but I think other arrangements can be made.
