Help! How do I get rid of spiders???

I got a fool proof method. looose the chemicals and get a cat. Get yourself a barn cat. They can become good pets but they get such a thrill from the hunt. My cat a former stray and goes BONKERS for spiders and most bugs..... He eats them too and has only got sick once.

I agree the Ortho Home Defense is great!! We bought our home about 3 months ago and it was full of spiders and had some small ants. I sprayed the whole house and patio then did the porch and around all the windows and no spiders since. I still have to spray a room at a time for the little ants but not often. (they show up in the weirdest places too like the bathroom...what are the eating in there the TP?? ) We also use Seven dust in the yard for bugs and it seems to work as when we put it down we can see them run!! This reminds me I need more Ortho.....

I've read that ants will eat drywall when it gets wet. Apparently if you have leaky sink/toilet/tub and the water gets into the drywall, it could become an all-you-can-eat buffet for ants.

Ortho Home defense. That is the best stuff. We rarely have a spider in the house since usning this stuff. The bottle says it can be used for silverfish too.

Many ppl here live in older "farm houses" also known as spider hotels. We have TONS of the large nasty looking huge Grey barn spiders that come inside once the weather turns colder. Personally Id sooner be set upon by rabid dogs than a spider .The solution though is to tie small bunches of dill and hang them in your basemet or anywhere else the offenders happen to like to call home,Ive also heard that wild pepermint works too but I have never tried it, if nothing else it would smell nice,lol.

My DH thinks I am crazy, have been deathly afraid of spiders for years and live in a very old house, needles to say every year around this time, my DH is being called to my rescue all the time. I also have two DD's one who is very allergic to insect bites. I have multiple bottles of all different kinds of spray around the house, I have been using ortho and this year seems to be better. about half of what it was last year. DH is about to break the bank on an exterminator, just for five minutes of peace.

Can't wait till he comes home one day and sees Dll weed and peppermint leaves and lemon all over, he wil deffinately think I have fallen off the deep end
