... I've looked at the Kyriad and airport hotels and everything is coming in over 100e! I was hoping to get something a bit cheaper.

Might it be cheaper to ring DLP and use SH discount on RO for one night?

Any suggestions?

We need it for Mon 13th August!

I'm trying to find my confirmation email for the Kyriad booking to see how much we paid. I remember it was a good deal.

Have you tried looking on Expedia & the other hotel booking websites, sorry I can't remember their names. Apologies of that's teaching the sucking of eggs

Found it.

26-12-11 Internet exclusive 1 Double Bed, 2 Single Beds 90.00

That was booked in the middle of August, directly on the Kyriad website. It was much cheaper than anything else I could find on Expedia etc very close to the parks for boxing day.

HTH.

Have you looked at some of the hotels at Val d'Europe ? There is an Etap hotel there which often comes in very cheap - they are very very basic but if its just for one night it would do the job.
I usually just go on Expedia and put in Disneyland Paris and then see what comes up

Thanks! Have had a look around 100e is the cheapest. Has anyone booked RO at say Santa Fe or Cheyenne with shareholders discount for their first night? Wondering if it may come in at similar price!

I think it will be much more expensive than 100 euros per night for the Santa Fe or Cheyenne room only in August - in low season the rack rate for room only at the Santa Fe is more than 130 euros per room per night. Worth a try though.

Anything is worth a try I guess! I think I will just book the Kyriad at 100e. At least I know it's easy enough to get to the park from there. Out of interest, how early does the free shuttle start from Kyriad? We want to get to the NPH for 7am and be at the park for EMH!

the shuttle that serves the Kyriad runs from just after 6am each day, every 20 minutes or so.

Awesome, so we could get the shuttle at around 7am, go straight to NPB and check in/drop our luggage off/pick up tickets and head to EMH.

Will we get EMH on our first morning?

This is exactly what we did. Except we were going to SL, rather than NPB.

We had originally planned to get up, über early to hit EMH, in the end we knew we were tired & had no idea how long check was going to take at SL. So we opted for booking a taxi for 8pm via front desk at the Kyriad. The taxi was late & tiny - a small sports Mercedes for 2 adults, one toddler, 2 large suitcases, a Trunki & a pram :sad2: Check in at SL was super efficient but still took quite a while, then we had to drop our bags at the luggage check, then head to the parks.

We got there before 10. This was with a 6.30 am alarm to get to breakfast for 7.

I'm not trying to be negative, just realistic. Doing EMH day one had been a major part of my plan, but the reality & our needs once there were very different.

If you miss breakfast at the Kyriad, which I thought was quite good, (hopefully I will do my trip report soon, so you can see photo's), and just get up and go and are prepared to move, move, move, it is doable.

Does the shuttle from the Kyriad drop you off at NPB?

I didn't even consider the shuttle, with so much luggage.

I booked Kyriad via booking.com, price was 80Eur, but that's for March.

The other option is to forget about checking out and moving luggage first thing in the morning.
Theres nothing to stop you just getting up, going to your disney hotel to check in and get tickets, then go in for EMH. You would then need to return to Kyriad and check out and move luggage later in the morning. - it seems a hassle but sometimes its easier than trying to do it first thing.

Or check out and leave your luggage at Kyriad and go back and collect it later in the day when you can move it straight into the Disney hotel
