After months of planning our WDW honeymoon in Sept., we are now getting ready to start planning our spring break trip next year. I have no clue as to where to stay! It will be my future husband , his teenage son and myself. We will be going to Universal, Sea World, and possibly MGM. Any suggestions? Also, can't decide which is better, 2 rooms or a suite? Thank you for any advise!!!! :sad2:

Hi...looks like a very important consideration will be some privacy and "space" for both of you. That is if he is a normal typical 16 y/o!!

I would suggest looking at a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo that would give you both a pvt bath. Yours would be off the master and his would most likely be the hall bath...You would both have your own space, a living area and a nice community pool.

Honestly, if you wanted to spend about 90-100 a night you could get your own 3/2 home with pvt pool...
If hotel is the only option, I guess I would look at Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista...these room will run over $150 night and have just one bath...

To check out condos, go to www.villas2000.com and search under condos only in the Disney area...you can do the same at www.vacationrentals.com or if you want a management company try www.villadirect.com.

Really new fancy condos will be Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms.

Newer less fancy but very nice will be Villas at Sommerset, Villas at Island Club. If you are going to do Universal and some Disney, I would not stay on hwy 27 or farther east on 192 than Lindfields.

Good Luck and let us know if questions....I really think the pvt bath off your bedroom is the way to go...and cheaper than the big suite hotels...

Hello & Congrats!
The ideal would be 2 bedrms, if possible. You know how teens covet their privacy! One bedrm, pull out sofa in LRm is okay, too.
We like staying on site even if doing Universal etc. Our DS16 can use the buses & ferries, gives him a real sense of independence, & Disney security gives us peace of mind--well, at least all an over protective Mom is likely to get! ;) A lot will depend on yr DH's son's interests & personality.
Patrick likes WL for it's quiet alcoves supplied with board games; workout rm;
game rm :rolleyes: ; & pools. We do plan a stay in 2006 @ SSR where proximity to DTD was a consideration.
There are lots of other choices, you can rent DVC pts & widen yr options also--
