Hi all as you can see I am here now:banana: But the driver :drive:a/k/a car owner has decided that they are not doing any more parks this trip.:confused3 THIS WAS NOT THE PLAN AT ALL. WE WERE SUPPOSE TO TOUR THE PARKS ON THE SAME DAYS. THIS WAS PLANNED:( Anywho sorry for the caps just wanted to highlight. Now we are staying a Bonnett Creek they have a shuttle but it would be $64 round trip (I have a party of 4) My question is is there a cheaper way to get there and back? I just want to know ALL of my options if there are any. NWIM. TIA (I guess this is what I get for going over to the dark side this trip to Orlando):confused3

not sure how far that is but when we went to US from DTD it was less than that by taxi round trip.
sounds like a bummer, hope you are able to salvage the trip!

Seems you could get a rental car for cheaper than $64/day??? Alamo at the Car Care Center has a shuttle.

Or take a taxi. The valet at your resort can call one for you.

Or, will your driver at least drop you off & pick you up?

1) Pay the shuttle rate
2) Arrange for a private towncar
3) Utilize Taxis
4) Rent a car

Renting a car would probably be the cheapest.

Taxi would probably be the cheapest since you wouldn't have to pay for parking then as well. Bonnet Creek is very central and extremely close to most of the parks. If you are going to Epcot, have the taxi take you to the Boardwalk and walk in the back entrance of Epcot, its a lot closer than driving all the way around to the front entrance of Epcot.

Would they let you borrow their car? Or do they have other plans? Could they drop you off and pick you up somewhere?

This post was moved from the Universal Studios board. It seems the OP needs a ride to Universal Studios from Bonnet Creek not to the Disney parks.

Is that $64 for all four of you? If so, that's a pretty good deal. The only way you're going to get anything cheaper is to rent a car for the day...but then you have to add in parking and gas costs.

We ended up renting a car when we were there because the shuttle times were so terrible. You could get a ride to Downtown Disney and take a bus to the parks via a Disney Hotel or water park.

Are you heading to WDW parks or US/ IoA? That is going to make a huge difference in the advice you need.

Since you mention the dark side, sounds like you're looking to go to and from Universal.

A cab would mean you don't have to pay for parking. A rental car means you don't have to worry about calling cabs. Up to you!

I'm sure there are rental car companies near Bonnet Creek that you can call to see if they will pick you up, or insist that your friend/relative with the car take you over there.

Obviously they won't let you borrow their car for this. That's really too bad. I'm sorry.

Hope you have an amazing day at Universal!!!!!

Hi guys OP here. I just wanted to say thank you for all of the responses and suggestions on such short notice. You all would be happy to know that my kiddos and I did survive the drama and had a blast, the sour puss is still alive and we opted for the taxi (Mears). It was cheaper than $64 per day for all 4 of us. But lesson learned if I'm ever at Bonnet Creek or any other resort without my own vehicle and plan to visit the Dark Side for multiple days I will be renting a car. But seriously, Disney and US/IOA should really try to work out a deal together with the City for some sort of lite rail system that would maybe include a stop at and/or run from the TTC and/or at least DTD and City Walk. Then the only people that would be pissed would be those outsourced shuttle services. I'm just saying. Any who, thanks again for your help. Have a good one.

I doubt either Disney or Universal want to make it easier for their guests to get to the "other side".

Sadly, neither company wants to make it easier for their guests to get to another theme park!
