Help help. Virgin flight orlando-mand 5/1/2010 doesn't seem to exist -why?

I have booked flights for next Xmas and I am now really worried because I cannot get in to manage my booking and I phoned Virgin to find out that no plane has been registered for that flight date. At that point I was under the impression that no Jan flights had yet been put into the planning system, but I have now found out that all the other flights have been registered except Jan 3rd and Jan5th (thats the one I am on). Can anyone shed any light on this, I am going mad- virgin are no help they just agree that this is very unusual but thay they do not know why- ITS THERE ....PLANE!!! I have heard murmerings about seeing if flights are needed every day before planing all the flights for next year. If they decide that they are not needed what happens to my fly drive booking- how can they sell a holiday that they may not have?? HELP HELP HELP

I have just been on to Virgin Atlantics site and done a request and there is VS76 on the 5th Jan and it would let me book.

I would just keep trying to log in to your booking online.

I know its leting the flight o see how book. Virgin call center think they are waiting full it gets next year befor register the flight. Looking on travelocity it can bee seen which flights have got seats plans filed and 3rd and 5th jan are the only ones that do not have flight plans/ aircraft filed against them. Thats why I am worried. even Virgin center don't seem to know it these are going ahead.

Still no joy, I have even tried on v-flyer and another flight forum. No one seems to understand this. On Travelocity you can now book on every flight until Jan 16th and get a seat plan bar these two flights. You can still book these on virgin atlantic website, but if you phone them they won't let you book them as they say these flights are not regestered on the system. I think I have spoken to about every department at virgin and I still have got nowhere, but as they do not understand why these 2 flights are not on their system- what chance have I got in working it out !! I have a name to phone in the UK tomorow (she asked for a week to try and work out what was going on - she was completely baffled!! as the locator flight number I have on my booking does not exist! because the flight on the 5th Jan does not exist on their system). My worry is that my booking may fall down some crack in their booking system and I may not get on the flights I have booked. Virgin hoildays have change our departure days in the past, and its a take the new date or cancle and get your money back situation. Their call center (if you do not get through to the UK is pretty hellish to deal with).

I cant be the only one on here with flights booked coming back on Jan 3rd or 5th to manchester. So if anyone else has these dates, I think they should contact virginatlantic and check there are seats to book.
