i have visited the boards many times. Mostly dreaming about coming to WDW. I am finally taking the plunge! I wanted some input I found a package deal at travelocity. But have not used travelocity before. Anyone have any experience with it. I'm afraid to book online. Also should I take to vacation insurance? Oh I also looked at WDW vacation planning online. How about them too. Any avdice on planning would great. Thanks. princess:

I used Travelocity to make reservations at Disney once. The only problem is that you have to deal with Travelocity if you want to make room changes, etc. We had problems when we got to the resort with the rate that Travelocity charged. It took several phone calls to get it straightened out.

My advice if this is a first time visit, book through Disney or Dreams Unlimited.

Before you do anything with travelocity, check out www.mousesavers.com. I think you may be better off booking on your own or with Dreams Unlimited. That way if codes come out later that are less money, you can make changes. I don't think you have that flexability with Travelocity.

When are you traveling??? I have always booked everything on my own and for the most part, you will pay a lot more $$$$$ for a package than doing hotel and tickets separately. How many days are you staying for? It may be worth it to buy an AP if AP rates come out. You only need one to get the rate. Read mousesavers.com and keep reading here. Also, wdwig.com is a great site with tons of photos, faqs and menus!

Thanks for your responses...We are going in July and are planning on staying 10 full days, with one day on either side for travel. At travelocity I found a package for $ 2550 but at WDW site same trip was only $50 more. So would $ 50 more be worth it? I am feeling my head begin to spin and I don't want to miss a goog deal because I am a single mom with not a lot of $$$. Oh both packages included hotel 11 nights, UL park hopper 10+ days and airfare. Thanks again so much for your help. princess:

Spend the $50. It is worth it if you find a code or need to change your reservation.

Very easy to call WDW.
