I really, really, really want to write to Miley Cyrus but I'm not planning on telling my Mum. My Mum goes to the post office and buys stamps and stuff. I am only allowed to write to people who live in the UK! NEVER TO THE US. Except my grandma and adopted aunt. I'm really scared. If I tell her who I want to write to. She would be really mad and won't give me the stamps. She would probably say no. So what should I do? Should I tell her or not. I can't drive a car and my Mum and Dad won't ever let me go shopping or go anywhere without them or without my friends. My friend Amy is in the US and She's the only one I can trust.. So what do I do? Please help me

But, I think this would be hard to sneek past your mom. What if Miley writes back, and your mom sees the reply letter before you?

She will probably get a reply back.
Most artists/singers/writers, every once and a while write a letter and whomever writes to them gets that letter.
So the letter isn't going to be handwritten and made for everyone differently.
Almost everyone will get the same letter, because it's made to send in bulk.

People from all over the world do.
She also has a busy schedule.
She wouldn't have the time to do that, and it's kind of like 'If you do it for one, you've got to do it for another.'
A lot of places just need your name on the enveloppe, and then edit the letter to have your name in it.
Kind of like the Santa Claus letter thing.

I guess then it's just a waste of time writing a letter to her. It's not worth it. I'll never be friends with a teenage popstar. By the time I'm 15. Miley will be so old!

You're still young hun. You have plenty of time to explore the world of Hollywood. Besides, think about it this way. You ARE Miley Cyrus. You have to get up early every morning, probably work out, play your guitar/sing/song write, go out for things related to the press in the afternoon, go home, change your outfit, go to the set of hannah montana to film all day/night, go home, and you then find a HUGE BAG of probably over 600 hand-written letters from fans. Would you want to sit down, write a reply to EACH one? NO! It would take you all night into the next morning until it was time to wake up again! So, naturally, being a nice movie star, and knowing she is a role model. she writes one, sincere letter, and then sends it to everyone from then on as a reply. It doesn't seem so harsh once you put it into that perspective, does it?

Besides, all that said, it is not worth sneaking behind your mother's back.

Maybe if I write to her I'll be able to get a picture and note again. I want it back! lol. Even though it might be different I don't even know what the letter said. Something about thanking you for supporting her? I don't know. yea I thought it was her signature too. But of course the letter I knew was copied.

But the one I remember getting, it said stuff like:
'Thanks for the support'
'The next book is titled Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix' (I wrote this a long time ago)
'I wrote some books for Comic Relief'

etc.
