Going for a week in a few months. - Should I stay a few nights at the Yacht Club while my friends are at Beach Club Villa and we are doing Disney before I move to the Hard Rock or just stay at Hard Rock in Kid's Suite the entire trip? If we stay at HR it will secure my Plat. Loews Status for the year.

If you will be doing WDW(atleast Epcot), then I would stay at YC first!

If don't stay at the YC while you're friends are at the BC villas you won't be able to go to the pool with them since strom along bay is for guest only, and they do check.

I love the convenience of staying 'on site' - hate driving in the 'real world' (especially during rush hour on weekdays!!) while I am on vacation - so I would definitely stay at YC and enjoy WDW (and SAB with my friends) - then move over to HRH while at USF/IOA.

Then again, if you are going during a really slow time and don't have to travel back and forth at peak times, staying in a Kid's suite at HRH the whole time would be soooo tempting !! - we loved HRH !

What a great choice to have to make !!

I am now leaning toward just staying at HR. I just saw that the HR Kid's Suite is 800 sq. ft. and the YC is only 300sq. ft and it will cost us less. Also I would be the one to have to pack up everything and miss park time moving. My DH just wants to drive over also, but said that it is my decision. We always end up waiting on my friends anyway to get ready. We do love the HR pool. Last time we stayed there we were in it alot and we usually never use the resort pools much. No one has beat the HR slide for our kids.

Any more ideas or opinions?

We have always split our stay. I really enjoy staying in Disney while going to the parks there and the convenience of not driving back and forth would be worth it. We also enjoy staying in the HR or RPR while seeing US and IOA. I also think it is a mood thing.The whole atmosphere is different from one place to the other.
