Hi, we have booked our September/October trip. We will be staying off site at the Hilton orlando Buena Vista hotel. We stayed here once quite a few years a ago and really liked we could walk across the street to Downtown Disney and this hotel gets to participate in the extended hours. We have decided on 6 day base tickets. Now I am lost on what to do next and when. Planning for Disneyland is so simple, but this is rally foreign for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:confused3:confused3

Do you have a My Disney Experience account? You will need to create one so you can link your tickets and book fast passes. Because you are not on site you will need to book dining reservations at 180 days out and I think but am not sure, you can book fast passes at 30 days.

Start making tentative plans for which park to visit on each day. Look at the park maps and read other people's trip reports to get a sense of what each park has that you might be interested in.

Some people love AK, some people think it's a half-day park.

Look at crowd calendars to make a guess at what parks would be good (this far out it's a guess, but it's better than nothing.)

Once you know (or sort of know) where you'll be each day, start making decisions about dining--those reservations can be made 180 days out, so you can spend the next 4 or 5 months planning those. We plan to eat at or near the park we are visiting each day. Since you say you'll have base tickets, it makes sense for you to do the same. (If you had parkhoppers you might do this differently). Look at the resort restaurants near the parks, some of the best Disney restaurants are at resorts, not in parks.

Have fun planning!

We changed our hotel so we can stay on site. I'm starting to really research everything. 341 days to go.:happytv:
