This morning the plug to my hair dryer slipped right into the toilet. That was 3-4 hours ago, the plug seems perfectly dry but I'm not sure about the inside. I'm scared to plug it in and of course I need to use it, going out to dinner later and have no time to run to the store.

The flat side of the plug has 2 little buttons, I think its the emergency "kill switch" or whatever you call it. Circuit breaker?? Dont know. Anyway, it seems the only place the water could have seeped in. It was dunked in and out in a flash but I'm just not sure....

If it is still wet it could kill you... Is it worth it trying to find out???

Since your in MA, it's probably raining wherever you are so go for the wet look tonight!

I have done that a zillion times...I would wait though, and NOT use it tonight..

It sounds like the blow dryer plug has a gfi protection device. (those two little buttons) They will interupt the flow of electricity if there is any water that could cause a problem. In addition, if you residence was built in the last 20 years, bathrooms are usually required by code to have GFI in the outlets.
