HELP! Harry Potter Birthday Dinner Advice Needed!!!

Hello All!
My family are insane Disney people, who happen to love Harry Potter. My boyfriend (possibly the most insane Potter fan I know) is coming on his first Disney trip with us in April/May. His birthday will be when we are on the trip and I want to set up reservations for either the Leaky Cauldron or the Three Broomsticks. We will most likely eat both places, because, come on, we have to.

But which one would be a better "Birthday Dinner".

Keep in mind we are staying on Disney property and have booked a lot of fun character meals and dinner shows.

Anyone have any advice????

Both are counter service, so no reservations needed at either one. Leaky Cauldron is neat, but 3 Broomsticks has the house elf "shadows". Both have nearly the same food.

Are the menus available online completely inaccurate? I keep seeing people say the menus at the two are similar, but they seem completely different to me with the exception of a few commonalities (and drinks are the same at each). Maybe the differences just stand out more to me because I don't eat red meat or fish. Leaky Cauldron has a bunch of sausage, beef, and fish dishes, whereas there's a chicken salad, rotisserie chicken entree, and turkey leg entree at Three Broomsticks. The soup options at each are very different, and only Leaky Cauldron has the Ploughman's Platter, while only Three Broomsticks offers the chicken feast. I just don't see where they're similar lol.
