Help! Going Sept1-5 Crowds? Weather?

I am addicted to this websight! I have learned a lot, but am getting mixed reviews on the weather and crowds in Sept. My DH and I are going Sept. 1-5th and staying @ CBR. How are the crowds during labor day? Weather? What parks are best on the weekend? Where would you go on the Fri we arrive- We will get to the CBR around noon. Epcot opens early that day.

Well ... Labor Day Weekend will be busy and hot. However Monday things will clear out faster than you can say "Mickey."

We went Labor Day Week in 2001 (right before 9-11) and it was a great week to go as far as crowds.

Here is a breakdown:

Saturday - We arrived ... comments of the day "I'm sure glad we are not going into the parks tonight, waaay to crowded." "WOW! Look at ALL of those people streaming out of the MK!" We also had to wait quite a bit for our Chef Mickey's ressie that night and the joint was hoppin.

Sunday - We went to MGM (EE at that time) and found it was doable until around 12. We had lunch ressies and again had to wait quite a bit for our table at Sci Fi ... I want to say it was like 20+ minutes. Sunday night we tried to go to the MK .... we turned around and left it was so crowded. We headed over to EPCOT and it was close to empty. I blame Spectromagic for that one!

Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday & Friday. WOW ... never had to wait in much of a line at all. Nice as far as crowds.

This year we plan on doing the same week with the understanding that it WILL be crowded Saturday & maybe Sunday. (Avoid the MK on Sunday with Spectro, the EMH for little ones & EMH at night.)

And it is HOT. Real HOT. It will also rain a bit almost every night so don't forget those ponchos!

We are arriving Sunday the 3rd, but our plane doesn't even land until 12:15. We aren't planning to do much at all on Sunday....so it's good to know that the rest of the week will be good!
