Help getting from SSR to Boardwalk

Hello everyone! My question is what is the best way to get from SSR to the Boardwalk area and back? I do not think that Disney has transportation from resort to resort, so I am wondering what the best strategy would be?? Any advice?

Assuming you don't have a car or don't want to drive,

I haven't tried it but it seems you could either walk to Down Town Disney and take the bus to the Boardwalk Inn or take the bus from SSR to MGM/Disney Studios and either walk or take the boat over to the Boardwalk.

It depends on how late you will be going. If the parks are closed you can take a bus from SSR to DTD and then from DTD take the bus that goes to the BWI, and then do the reverse going back. A cab would probably be faster.
If the parks are still open you could take the bus from SSR to MGM and then walk over to the Boardwalk or take the boat.
