We are going to Disney World from April 11th - 16th (11th and 16th are our travel days). We want to do a character breakfast (anything besides CM and Ohana) We are staying at the Shades of Green(across from the Poly) Since we are early risers we want to take advantage of the EMH. Every morning seems to be EMH's as follows and plan on going to the park on these days:
12th Epcot morning EMH
13th Animal Kingdom morning EMH
14th (we are going to sea world so any would be good )
15th MK morning EMH
16th Hollywood morning EMH
What would be our best option to take advantage of the EMH and have a breakfast? Should I book them for a late breakfast, or just book them when the EMH are going on? I dont see any ressie's for before the EMH. ANY tips/advice would be appreciated!!

There are several character breakfasts that you can choose from that would accommodate your EMH. In Animal Kingdom, Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tusker house is one of our favorites. Also, the breakfast at the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom is great, too. Another good option is the breakfast at Cape May Cafe which you could do on your Hollywood Studios day. You should go online and see which breakfasts still have the availability for the days/times that you want. The most desirable times get booked up fast, especially during extra magic hours. :)

what are the "most desirable" times? Are there times that are better than others?

DH and I traditionally hit the character breakfasts later in the morning so that we can get to the parks for either morning EMH or rope drop. We'll grab coffee and a snack in our room before we head out, then hit MK, ride a few rides, get some fast passes to use later in the day and we'll eat at 1900 Park Fare around 10:45. It's really nice because we've missed the rush, the characters spend a little more time at each table, and the food is just as fresh and replenished as it would be earlier in my opinion.

This year on our AM EMH day at Animal Kingdom we're eating at Tusker House around 9:45; at CP around 10AM on our AM EMH day at MK and on our Hollywood Studios AM EMH day we're eating at Cape May Cafe around 9:45.

Happy planning and have fun!

We love Tusker House for breakfast. It seems to work best if we get an ADR for a little after EMH, then we can still go in and get go on a few rides that we really want to do and then we get a fast pass for something we haven't been on yet, but don't want to miss and we head to breakfast. That way, be the time we are done with breakfast, it's time to use our Fast Pass.

I ditto this!

Forget the morning EMH, do CP or CRT before MK opens:thumbsup2 It's amazing walking down Main Street with almost no people around you!

Personally, if you are going to do the morning EMH, I would do a later breakfast (~10ish), get through a lot and then have a nice leisurely meal. Don't do it during EMH, that is losing the point! You can't have breakfast in the park before EMH. I think Chef Mickey's and Cape May cafe open earlier than EMH (~7) so you could try that too!

I would have to agree with the OP, CRT is a great experience. DW and I went in early Feb and being able to enter the MK and walk down Main St with very few people around was really neat! Entering the Castle and having breakfast one of the highlights of our trip. :thumbsup2

The last time we did TS breakfasts, we did them before rope drop. Tusker House in AK at 8 am for 9 am opening, CP 8:05 for 9 MK opening. Now that my kids are alot older than last time we were in the World, we are only going to do CP. Since both days we want to go MK, there is morning EMH, that starts at 8am. So, one of the days, we are doing CP at 10:30. That will give us almost 2 hours to tour, and since CP is in the park, we will circle and end near CP to make our ADR. I see it as a brunch, as if we fill up, which I am sure we will, a later afternoon snack and late dinner is all we need. On EMH mornings, I just bring some granola bars or dry boxed cereal for the kids to munch on while waiting for rope drop.

Have fun! We are still early risers and like the extra hour in the mornings most days.

For you day at SW, I'd do O'Hana at the Poly or CM's at the Contempory for a buffet character breakfast. Check to see how early you can get. Both are easy access from SOG.

We liked the O'Hana breakfast, but didn't do CM breakfast, so cannot comment. We did do CM for dinner, and while the number of characters was great, the food was not, and even my young kids said not there again, ever.
