We (group of 8) were talking about our summer vacation for 2005. Since we had such a wonderful time at DisneyWorld last year, we were thinking about visiting Disneyland next. Can anyone help me with flight information from Toronto, Ontario? I've done a couple of searches and have been quoted outrageous prices. Also there seems to not be any direct flights to Anaheim. What airport is most convenient?
Do you think this is something worth seeing/doing after having just been to DisneyWorld?
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need to fly into either John Wayne airport in Santa Ana (Orange County) or LAX. John Wayne is closer, but it's more difficult to find flights there from Canada, and usually the flights you will find will require a connection in LAX anyway (at least from my experience). I know that many people hate flying into LAX, but as a Canadian I haven't found it all that bad. The terminal is easy enough to navigate, and there's a few dining/shopping options.

Although normally I'd say it's a little early to start looking at pricing for the summer, remember that DL's 50th is in July which means that crowds should be higher than normal probably all summer long. That means you'll be wanting to make your arrangements soon.

This is one case where booking a package with a TA may be cheaper, because the vendors like FunSun buy big blocks of rooms at discount prices far in advance, so they're likely to be cheaper than booking direct with the hotel.

I think pretty much everything at DL is worth seeing/doing. Just keep in mind that the parks aren't meant to be copies of each other - DL is smaller, cozier and more intimate.

ETA: I just did a check on some airfare with random dates: WS is $438.28. NW and Delta were in the $450 range and AC was around $520. Airfares from Winnipeg start at $520, so I don't think those are too bad.

You should definately subscribe to www.jetsgo.net
They are a low-fare carrier and often have incredible seat sales!
I just got a round trip Montreal-LAX (Los Angeles) for 350$ canadian.
This price is unbeatable, even on Expedia or Travelocity.

Is there any way your trip could be timed toward the end of summer, or in the fall? If it is important to you(and it should be :) Space mountain is scheduled to be running starting November.
