Last time we went to Disney I wore sneakers the entire time we were there but I hate wearing sneakers because they just feel so bulky on my feet. Is there anything else anyone can suggest that will be comfortable for a week at the parks that look nice and are innexpensive. I saw a site suggesting old navy flip flops and a friend of mine suggested ballet style shoes. I don't know if either of these will work or what to look for in the ballet shoes. I also do not want to wear crocs but I am getting so frustrating trying to find something that it is getting tempting.

We always wear flip flops - usually Reefs - don't like to wear sneakers cuz my feet get to hot.

My DH and I both swear by Crocs flip flops (Athens) We wore them the whole week and we had no problems. Completely comfy!!!! I would reccommend them!!!!!!!!!

Teva Mush flip flops:cloud9: . Montrail Molokini flip flops are comfortable too, but I usually wind up in my Teva Mush for most of the trip.

I love my Reef and Teva Mush flip flops. Have them in several colors. Wore them all day everyday and never had a problem. The Old Navy put a blister on my toe and the Birkies caused leg cramps.

I had no problem with my athletic shoes but I hate my feet being hot and/or wet in athletic shoes.

My arches never hurt in the Reefs or Teva's.

It was trial and error for me to find the best thing. I live in a hot/humid environment so I had plenty of opportunity to figure out what would be most comfortable for walking all day and hot weather.

:)

I don't like tennis shoes either! They are too hot and bulky, especially when we go in the summertime!

I have a favorite pair of flip-flops that are real spongy. I liked them so much I bought them in 3 colors! They are made by Volatile. My other favorites are my Chacos. They are great for Florida, because they can get wet, they have great traction and a really arch support.

I took a loot at the crocs and I am considering the ballet style they have. I just look at them and don't know how they can be comfortable. I also am considering The Pink breast cancer stash ones from Reef that has the compartment in the sole. A lot of people say Reefs are really comfy and I was looking on their site and I really love the look of these. They are just a little pricey and I haven't found anywhere that will ship to canada. So right now those are what I am torn between.

I also am looking at a pair of pink volatile flip flops online and wondering how they will be

I just got some Keen Newport H20 shoes for an upcoming trip. They are lightweight, waterproof and cute! Check out Shopzilla for lowest prices.

I originally got mine at Nordstrom and it was a last minute item I picked up as I was walking out the door from work. It was one of those things that I would never do (buy new shoes the day before my trip!) They were so comfortable! They never gave me a blister and I didn't even have to break them in! I walked all over WDW.

The following year I wanted more and I couldn't find them anywhere except for at Volatile.com, so I ordered three more pair. The only thing that was kind of weird is they were all a little different in size.

A little tip on cleaning them...Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work great! Sometimes I tak a little toothbrush and some dish soap too!

I have to add in another vote for the crocs. i've worn then my past 3 trips (one of them i was 5 months pregnant) never had any issues at all. Last 2 trips i'v also put my oldest ds in crocs, this year me, dh, ds, dd3 are all wearing them... middle dd is typical drama queen that doesn't like crocs and it's wearing them no matter what... i'm hoping we can find some cute minnie ones while there and she'll try them out... but she'll be in the stroller most of the time so i guess she'll live!!! :)

How does the sizing run? Also did you find any issues on the rides, I saw other posters saying that when they wear flip flops them make them take them off on the rides.

I have been a sz. 8 since about the 7th grade and that is the size I bought. Because the were manufactered at different times, they all are just a little different, but still all fit fine. I don't have any problem with them on the rides and I don't take them off. The only time I took them off and sat on them was when I went on "Dueling Dragons" at IOA.

These are the ones that I have only mine are more of a light pink!

Last time we went (2005), I wore a pair of flip flops by Merrell. Among other things, they make hiking shoes, so the support was great. They were similar in style to these:

They were very comfortable. When I bought my pair, they were $55, I think.

I currently have a pair of flip flops by Rainbow. They are leather and mold to your foot shape. Supposedly, they will last forever. They are $45, but I think they are well worth it. I have this style in pink:

If you decide to wear the foam flip flops, I would not get Old Navy ones. I have a pair of Havaianas, and they are great. They are made in Brazil, and have very sturdy construction. They do not rub blisters like the Old Navy ones do, and the piece in between your toe will not come loose.

I plan on wearing running shoes. Yes, they are kind of like sneakers but they are lighter and more breathable than regular sneakers. I get blisters easy and I am hoping this will be better than the leather tennis shoes I usually wear.

I'm adding another vote for crocs...not the best looking of the lot-but oh so comfy!

:lmao:
I am not between 2 pairs. I am tempted to get both lol but with a wedding I am not sure if I can afford them both.

I am between these shoes by Volatile:

And these ballet style crocs:

Those pink ones are really cute! I was looking at those too! I love anything in pink!
I have never worn crocks except for the flip flops that I bought for my son. I bought him a black pair last summer and "What do you know, they fit me purfectly!" So they will become mine when he outgrows them! I couldn't talk him into the pink ones!

I see many people wearing crocs, but it seems like they would make your feet sweat!

I've tried getting way with something other than my regular Nike sneakers, but have yet to find anything that will give me enough support in my arches. For days when I'm not going full blown commando in the parks I like to wear my Keds. They are very cool, and I usually wear them sockless with no problems.

I'm thinking of getting a pair of the Lands End beach sneakers this year to try. They are open and meshy, but still like a sneaker, so I'm hoping that will be the best of both worlds. Plus if I get wet on Kali River Rapids they will dry much faster. I hate walking in wet sneakers!

I did wear a pair of Mary Jane Crocs to MNSSHP last year and they were fine for that, but I don't think I could wear them any longer comfortably. Plus I'm always tripping on my feet when I wear my crocs!
