Hi everyone! I'm Sam from Europe, and my family and I are going to WDW this summer.
Since English is not my first language, I apologize if all my questions have been asked before.
I have searched this board, but still, I am not sure about everything.

I also tried to read everything about Disneys new service for disabled persons on their homepage, but I'm still not sure if I get everything right.

We have been to WDW a few years ago, but everything seems different now.

My DD has a walking disability. She can walk, but only short distances, and there is no way she can stand in line for an hour for example. The problem beeing the ability to stand, not the line itself. She also doesn't need a special car for the ride.
She uses a regular stroller as a wheelchair.

If I got this right, what we still need to do at disney is to get a "stroller as a wheelchair" tag for her stroller.
Does she now have to go with us to get the tagg, or could my hubby or me do it for her, like we did last time?
Further, my understanding is, as her disability is just walking/standing, she doesn't need a DAS Card.

If an attraction has a meinstream line, we can enter it, with her sitting in her stroller, a CM will tell us where we can leave the stroller during the ride, and my DD can walk the short distance to board the ride.

What I am not sure about is, what about ride with no mainstream entrance?
As I understood, we will get a return time, but how does it work?
Do we have to be "on time" like eith a FP, or can she be "late" like with DAS return times?
Are we allowed to do a ride with mainstream entrance during out wait time for the other ride?

And, finally which rides to provied mainstream entrances? I tried to look this up on diesney.com, but the list postet there and their own disability guid (I downloaded from their page) give me different informations (or my English is too bad to understand them correctly).

For example the list on the hompage does not mention Big Thunder or Jungle cruise to have a meinstram line.
But the disabled guide doesn't say anything about an alternate entrance at the jungle Cruise. At big thunder it says "ask CM for options".
The only ride i read about an alternate entrance on the guide was It's a small world.
(This ride seems not to have changed since our last time in WDW)

I am sorry if I seem to ask obvius things an/or silly questions.
It's just that I want this vaction for my DD to be great, and not to be running arround not knowing where and how to get in line for the rides she likes.

I am looking forward to hear from you and get some help.
Thank you in advance!
Sam

What I forgot to say, I read about sticky notes here on the board, where I can find a list of alternate entrances to the rides, but I can't find them.
Maybe I am overlooking something. - sorry

:welcome: to the DISboards! Wow, if English isn't your native language you certainly communicate very well!

You are correct that you want to get a stroller-as-wheelchair tag for your DD. I've never tried to get it without having the stroller (and therefore my daughter) at least nearby, so I'm not sure if you can get one without it. If you did in the past, maybe that's possible. I never thought about it.

Most queues are mainstreamed. The ones that aren't are primarily at MK; check out post #11 of the disABILITIES FAQ thread pinned near the top of this forum for more information about which lines aren't accessible. It is possible you might be given a "wheelchair return time" card to use an accessible entrance, but that depends on how busy the park and that attraction is at the time you are there. If you do get one of these for a ride, it is just like an old FP -- return within the one-hour window noted. The DAS allows the user to return anytime after, but the wheelchair return times are set.

Enjoy your vacation!

Thank you for the information (and the compliment about my English :-) )

The last time my hubby got DD's tagg, taking her identification card with her. It has the well knowen blue wheelchair symbol on it.
We just tried it back than, because at that time there have been lot's og people arround City Hall, and it would have been complicated to push her stroller through the crowd.

Thank's for the link! Thant was the one I was looking for!

What I absoluteley couldn't find out, i, if we are allowed to board another ride vie msinstream entrance while we are still waiting for our return time to a ride without.
(We have never been given return times in our past visit, that's why I have no clue)
I just don't want to do anything wrong.

Your DD's ID card may be adequate to get her a stroller-as-wheelchair tag, or they may ask a couple of questions why she needs to remain in her stroller. I just wanted to mention that in case you/he is asked.

Wheelchair return times are relatively new, and as I mentioned not always in use. If you receive one, you are welcome to spend the time doing another ride, eating a snack, shopping, restroom break, or whatever you wish.

Enjoy your vacation!

Thank you so much, this was great help for us!
DD is super excited to go. She's allready counting days :-)
