I am going ton my first WDW trip from 9/8-9/12. It's actually my mom's 50th birthday and I am giving her a week long trip that start in miami 9/5-9/8 and then WDW adn then back home in SoCal. I have booked a Savannah View room in AKL for the 4 of us for 5days/4night for $954 all taxes included. Did I pay too much? Are there ways of reducing that. Also I didnt want the dream maker package as I know everyone one will be tired on 9/8 and we will only start going to the parks on 9/9. So I have decided to get a 4 day park hopper pass from mapleleaftickets for $205 per person (tax included). Is thhis a good deal, or are there ways of making this cheaper? I mean I would be paying $1774 for room and tickets, seems like my best effort so far.

Also sinceits her birthday, i wanted to have a cake in the room first thing in the morning on the day. How expensive is it to get the cake from the hotel? and how would I go about it?

I have a friend who had a PIN mailed to him, is it possible for me to use that PIN to make my reservations?

Is it possible to get food delivered from outside places like Pizza hut etc to your room in AKL?

I am sorry for the barrage of questions, any help is appreciated greatly.

First WELCOME to the DISBoards! I am sure you will find this a great place to learn everything you want to know!

In answer to one of your questions unless your friend is going with you and is on your reservation you can not use the pin!

Let me start by asking a silly question. Are you going in a few days? If so I think the price is on the high side. It breaks down to be $238.50 a night.

The ticket price is an advanced price and I don't know that you are going to get too much of a discount beyond that. Maybe someplace like AAA offers them cheaper.

I am not sure how much a cake actually costs I know you can get small ones for around $12.50 or so; but they are only like 6" big. I want to say the price for a full size cake would be around $40 or maybe more. I am sure there are a lot of people out there that will know the answer to this one. I do know that the place to contact would be the Grand Floridian Bakery.

Not sure if you can get outside pizza deliveries; I thought I saw one once at CBR when we were staying there. But they do offer pizza deliveries to the rooms at most of the resorts I believe.

Sorry I couldn't give you more answers; but hope it helps a little bit!

Have a Great Trip!

Thanks for your reply. The 238 is for 4 people in a room, I used code AZZ to get the rates. 238=164+50(for 2 extra people)+tax.

I would say you did pretty good with your room rate than. The only way you would have been able to get it for less would have been if you got a post card, email or AP rate! Our price for a SV room for November 27 to December 4 with the AP rate was $168 a night including tax. We do not have the additional adults added to the room like you have.

I have an inquiry out on another thread trying to help answer your questions about the cake. Will let you know what I learn asap!
