Hi Everyone,
I am planning our Summer breaks and was hoping to do to Disneyland Paris via the Eurostar at the end of a trip to London, but I want to do it the cheapest way possible as I am no longer working. There a 4 of us,2 adults/1 teenager(16) and a 10 yr old.My teenager really wants to go into Paris and we would do a day at the parks for my 10 yr old...so How easy is it to get from Gare du Nord into dlp,how expensive are the tickets for the train, where is the best place to stay and which is the best site for 1 day/2 park tickets? We have been to dlp many times so do know our way around the parks and the rides we would like to do but have never ventured outside of the main hotel areas...any help would be appreciated as I would really like to get booking if possible.

The direct Eurostar tickets have been on sale for some time so you can price them up online. If you're going to take the Paris Eurostar, to get from Gare du Nord to DLP go to Chatelet les Halles where you change to the RER A4 line to Marne la Vallee Chessy for DLP, it's the last stop.

If you're looking for a budget hotel, try looking at Val d'Europe, Bussy St Georges and Torcy, all are on the RER line so easy access to both DLP and Paris but much cheaper than in the city or DLP itself.

I would recommend getting the eurostar directly to Disneyland Paris then travelling into Paris...I have been to DLP and Paris loads of times and I still find making the trip from DLP to Paris alot easier than the other way around...this is largely to do with the staff at the station at DLP being used to clueless non french speaking customers who want to visit Paris for the day. :rotfl:

Regarding where to stay, there are a lot of good deals to be had in the surrounding area of DLP...and, and I say this cautiously, DLP hotels. I use expedia quite a lot to get hotel only deals but you must stay strong and book the hotel within a few weeks of departure to get the best deals.

As for tickets, I've never really shopped around - I now have an annual pass - but I know some people do shop around and ebay, I hear and really don't know for sure, has people selling unwanted/needed tickets. For events such as Buffalo Bills - I get my tickets via the french site to get them cheap.

Hope this helps.

K.

Thank you for your help,I must admit I never thought of going straight to dlp but it make so much sense...
