Reading the thread "how much is your trip" I see many people getting their rental car at a fraction of what I currently have booked.

If you have a March rental, could you please tell me who you booked through and what codes you used?

Thanks!

If you have a daily rate and not a weekly rate, it usually costs more. I usually go to the travelocity website and put in dates for a rental car, and it gives all the different rental car companies and what each will cost for my dates. Also, I have found, in the past that picking up a car at the airport usually costs more than getting it off site. If you're staying on property, you can take magic express to your hotel, and when you're ready for your car, they have places in Downtown Disney to pick up a car, and one at the Magic Kingdom parking lot. Some rental car agencies will even come to the hotel and pick you up.

I used a Costco ID #7015309 and Insider code #AD4027JDO with Alamo that I got from the transportation board. Both the ID and the code gave me discounts and a free second driver.

If you post your dates, times, and what type of car you need, someone may be able to find you something.

Ooh, I'll jump onboard and ask for help! Clueless as to how to score a deal on this. We need one - a small compact is fine - just for me and dh, march 21-24 - picking up and returning to the Orlando airport. Staying @ Vero Beach, so no ME.

Do a search for travelocity rental car code. It worked for us, but I can't find it now, I'm only iPad.

We've had good luck using the codes from Mousesavers.com - especially the Orlando Magic Card code with Dollar.

Also, name your own price with priceline. You can easily save 35-40%. We usually book the best deal we can using codes, then I start bidding on priceline about a week out. If I get a deal, we just cancel the original reservation. Deals definintely to be had if you are looking for mid-sized cars. Minivans (which we rent) are harder to get a super deal on.

I have been going to priceline everyday looking for a decnt peice and can't find an economy car for under $43 per day am I being cheap? It is for 4 days April 13 through 17. Also tried the companies with every coupon I have
