Hi ladies!

I am semi-new here. This is my first post, but I have been perusing the threads trying to soak up as much info as possible.

That has just led me to a lot of confusion!!!!

First, I should say that I've never been to Disney. Neither has my fiance. I am in the beginning stages of planning our wedding, and am really still trying to just choose a location.

The first thought that popped into my mind was Disney, of course! LOL I've since thought about DCL also.

I would like to get married next Spring. March possibly. Have I allowed myself enough time to still do a Disney wedding? I don't even know where to begin on getting information.

So, basically, I would love some pointers from anyone willing to help! Thanks SOOOOO much!

The prior DISer has the right idea, get yourself the Passporter book about Disney Weddings, it's filled with so much great information

I would call Disney ASAP to see if your date is available, I would also have a back up date just incase your first choice is not open. Remember, weekday/morning weddings are easier to get and cost friendly. Also, before calling I would have an idea of the venue's you like, again have a back up plan just incase they are booked. Once you have called and confirmed your date, start looking for photographers, officiant, dress, tux, videographer, etc...unless you are using a Disney photographer/videographer (but they are really expensive). Once Disney has confirmed locations and date they will send you your contract which you will sign and return with your $2000 deposit ($1000 goes towards the total amount and the other $1000 goes for incidentals, which if you have none will be returned).

Let me know if you need any other info?

As the previous 2 responders said, DEFINATELY get Carrie's book.

You'll also find the trip reports of previous brides on here helpful, and take a look at the disney weddings & honeymoon blog. Carley pots pictures from weddings on there regularly, so it will give you an idea of some of the venues and what they look like. There is also a flickr stream on there that disney brides upload pictures to!

Happy planning!
