help for a friend please

hiya
one of my friends is getting married in may 2009.
does anyone know the procedure when you first phone DFTW? (she's having an intimate in the WP). if you know the date you want will you find out straight away if you can have that date and time? i know you have to have a hotel booked, but what else do you need when you phone up? (i booked my wedding through a UK travel agent so i dont know the answer to these questions!)
can anyone help with the following questions:

When you phone Disney weddings & state the DATE & TIME you want do they confirm it with you straight away that they re available? If not when do you find out if you ve got the DATE & TIME wanted?

When you phone Disney for that 1st conversation what really do they go in to or is it just a case of finding out your dates?

when do you need to let them know the hotel booking details?

With the Disney hotel booking do you have to pay the full balance straight away or do you just pay a deposit?

Hi I am also getting married in 2009. I called DFTW for info they sent me a packet, I am not able to book or reserve a location until 12 before. I am allowed however to go for a site visit anytime after March.

Shortly after I called DFTW, Heidi called me for details and gave me her contact info, and now if I have any questions I just email her- shes been great.

When we first contacted Disney with our dates, we did NOT find out straight away. We waited probably 2 days until I got overly anxious and called them. It was then that we found out our date and time were available.

When you first call they really just want to know the date, time & location for Escape couples. After I contacted Brianna, I let her know that we wanted to have a dinner @ CG and a DP. Those things were added into our contract.

I believe you have 4 business days after establishing your date, time and location to make your hotel reservation and call Disney with the confirmation #. You can change your accomodations. Originally DH and I were splitting our stay b/w POP and BWI. FIL said he would pay for BWI the whole trip, so we had to change our reservation which was not a problem.

You have 10 business days (or around that) to pay your deposit. We paid $500, but I think it has increased to $750 now.
