If I book POFQ for November 2008 for 3 nights right now, will they let me apply a Fla Resident rate if offered later on? I am afraid that I will not be able to get POFQ after they release some rates and don't want to worry about it until say October. Every time we wait until they release rates, we can't get in there. Thank you.

Yes. You can make a reservation, then apply a code later. Just hold on to your confirmation number, then when a new code is available, just call, and tell the agent that you want to apply a code to your reservation. I've done this with AP codes with no problems.

I agree with MKFan-PR that you can usually add a code to an existing res, but you should also be prepared that it's not 100% gty. Since you listed November I'm specifically thinking of the Super Soap weekend and also around Thanksgiving dates, when it could be "sold out" with no code availability to be applied. Plus there was already a Bounceback deal offered to resort guests staying last April to be able to book ahead for another stay in November, and lots of DISers posted they were taking advantage of that.

So they might advise that there is no availability at POFQ to apply the code to, and then will want you to choose another resort. I don't know how set you are on POFQ but if you can stand to switch resorts in order to get any FL Res deal you might have a second resort choice (and third?) ready when you call, just in case. :goodvibes And be sure and call ASAP as soon as they show up - last year FL Res rates came out in mid-August for November stays.

Here's wishing you good luck on a great deal FL neighbor! :thumbsup2

Thank you for the quick reply. I am not really set on POFQ but it' one of 2 resorts left that we haven't stayed at. (We usually try a stay at a new one every year). I was also afraid that I would book now, a code would come out later and then when I called they had no code room left. I know that has happened to some people. We are specifically going for SSW so I know how busy and booked they get. My rate right now is $165/night, which isn't too bad. Gone are the days when values were $49/night and mods were $79 or 89/night. Oh well, $165/night would do if I have to....::yes::

Boy am I glad that I checked aaa. I got a rate of $140.25/night instead of $165/night on the Disney website...........now I am happy with the rate I got.:cool1:

You cannot apply a discount to a room only reservation booked online. Online room only reservations are horrible to work with. You would need to cancel the booking and make a new one. Likewise, Florida Resident rates are available for room only reservations, not packages.

If you're hoping to apply a Florida Resident discount later, best to call. :)
