Help-flights for 2 cheaper than flights for 3

virgins flights that i was going to book went from £718 to £760, so i decided to wait. Today I put for 2 instead of 3 & it came up for £718. If I did 2 bookings would Virgin link them together, so that we'd be sat together or would we have to travel separately?

I did this when I booked for December 08. They only had 2 seats left of the cheaper fares - we then bought a further adult seat and a child seat at the higher price.

They were on 2 different bookings - the lady did say she would put a note on - but we didn't have a problem getting seats together. We all checked in together.

Thanks for your quick reply, it really helped with our options. In the end we found we could go 2 days earlier for £718 & went for that. Far from a great price but at least we can plan now.
