I can't find the right color at any store -- ACM, Js or Ms - -I want to match Mickey's skin. I know what color Bazzill to buy, but I really don't want to buy textured paper for the faces - -I think the smooth paper cuts better and looks better for faces.

Does anyone know a brand of paper, the name of the color and where I can buy some?

How about using the reverse side of the Bazzil?

Creative Memories has a nice, smooth, flesh colored paper. I think it is called vanilla. I stock up on it for paper dolls and Disney characters!

I just checked -- French Vanilla is the name.

Mazda -- I don't think using the reverse side will help with the cricut - -I'll still get yucky edges.

THe CM paper looks right, but 80 cents a sheet :scared1:

Yeah, the price is a little painful. I'm even a CMC and I don't use CM cardstock very often! ;) I buy their black and the french vanilla for certain things because I don't like the thin AC Moore black and I can't find another decent flesh color. You'd think the cardstock people would figure out that we need those flesh tones!

Over here it all costs about as much as CM anyway so being a CMC its worth me buying it;) I prefer Bazzil, but do get their black and occasionally the mixed cardstock packs because the CM punches don't work well on Bazzil.

Hmmm, I remember Provo Craft (Creative Xpress?) selling a flesh colored paper, back when the Sizzix first came out. I know I have some, but it's in my POD.

The Paper Company has nice flesh tones. I buy the packs at Mike's and J's.
The brocade, and heritage pack has nice colors.

Yes! THat's what I usually buy, by the sheet, but both's J's and M's didn't have it this last time - -at J's I checked to see if they were just out of stock, but there wasn't an empty spot for it.

I looked on line and found Worldwin colormates light caribbean coral -- I'm pretty sure I have used that before. I got that for 27 cents per sheet including shipping. I ordered 100 sheets -- so now I have a lifetime supply.

I also get mine at JoAnn's ... it's actually called Gold but it looks like a flesh tone.

Well, I'll need to check again then. If I saw an empty spot called GOLD I am sure I would not have known that was really the flesh paper I was looking for.

k8memories.com -- not an endorsement, I have never ordered from this place nor read any reviews. I'll let you know how this order goes if you are interested.

I can't remember the link rules, so I didn't post it. Look under paper media. I bought 2 50/pk at 9.75 per pack.

This color is on the peach side which I prefer over the yellowish side. I used to get this at my LSS before it went out of business, then I got the paper at M's or J's. When I picked this color, I had a jolee's Mickey in my hand and it matched -- I would never have picked this color without that pack of stickers in my hand, it seems like it is too peach, plus the name doesn't sound like it would be right. I did notice that if I didn't have stickers as a guide - -I always picked something that was too tan or yellow or gray and didn't look right in the finished project.

If you'd like, wait until I get my order and I'll send you a scrap of it so you can see if it is the color you like.

Michaels has a pack of paper that I love, it is smooth, not too thick not too thin and the color is perfect, I wish I knew the name of it. It is like $6 for 25 sheets, I use that color for flesh for Disney characters and my paper dolls. HTH

Target has an earth-tones cardstock pack that has an ivory color that might be what you're looking for. I don't think it's textured, although some of the colors in that pack are.

Hey, thanks for the tip on k8memories! I received my order today (I got packs of the Caribbean coral light and medium) since they were on special for $9.50 or so for 50 sheet packs. The paper looks great and the colors are perfect. It isn't textured like Bazzill and I like that, as I usually prefer making my paper piecings on regular cardstock.

Now I have a lifetime supply too! They had some neat items - I'm sure I'll be shopping with them again. Good prices and speedy shipping...marvy:thumbsup2

we NEED some of that!!!!
you and i should order some.......:confused3

(omg am i enabling again???)

Could you please bring a sample tomorrow so I may see it in person?

Sure thing! I'll bring both (light and medium) so you can see them. I'm pretty pleased, as the color seems great. I had never heard of WorldWin paper before - just got whatever dark ivory or light tan tones for skin that Mike's/Jo's/ACM had on sale. This has a nice pinkish tone to it, but definitely isn't pink.

Thanks for the tip, 123SA! (There's a box enroute to your DH today - Z2Hs cards from the college group along with a bunch our other DD made with her scout troop yesterday. The package went out this afternoon!)
