Help - First trip to WDW alone with 4yr old + 7month old

Excited and Nervous as heck...

...looking for ideas

I am booked in All Star Sports; and thinking to moving to All star Movies Preferred room...4 yr old is crazy about Buzz Lightyear; tempted to do CSR, but is it worth the extra $300??

Ideas on handling the two alone...what should I do, and when should I go to parks?

Should I take my double stroller or rent it there. I am flying.

Should I buy a refillable mug?

I am getting a $200 GC from disney; do I need a meal plan?

Am I crazy...no just a typical mom

Hi and welcome to the DIS!!

I think you should take your own double stroller IF it is not too heavy for you to handle with an infant on the buses. Something like a Maclaren would probably be okay, but Duoglider or other big stroller would probably be just too heavy to juggle w/an infant too. You can gate check the stroller and it will be on the ramp when you exit the plane. When you go through security, you will need to fold it up and put it through the xray. If you don't bring your double, a single may be nice for the airports.

Sports is the first bus stop, so that is nice. I have no experience w/CSR, but have read there is a lot of walking...maybe consider a preferred location if you do that.

There is a dining plan w/ 1 counter service, 1 table service and 1 snack and a quick service dining plan w/2 counter service meals and 2 snacks and refillable mugs. The dining plan w/table service is a great way to get in some nice character meals and a break for you! Make your reservations as soon as you hit the 90 day mark if you will dine in any restaurants.

Bring a sling or other comfy baby carrier. You can't use strollers in line and this is a great way to snuggle and secure baby during rides.
