Please excuse the rantings of a neophyte. DH and I decided this week that we and our toddler son are going to WDW mid-May for a week. Lodging (off-park) and travel are paid for, so my major concern is tickets and how to save money. I've seen where ticket prices may be going up THIS weekend, and I'm trying to move fast. I've checked out this board and others for info, because I've never been to WDW before. We don't have plans to go again next year, so it seems like the 6-day park hopper is the way to go, but I would like feedback on that. What's the discount that Connections is giving? Should I join and then cancel membership a month from now? Also, it seems that the Disney Club would NOT save us money, since the membership costs more than the tickets themselves and we don't really like the food at theme restaurants (All-Star, RainForest, etc.) and I hope to buy very little at the park in the way of souvenirs because of the cost. But maybe there are added benefits, since I see so many other people joining the DC? PLEASE HELP with ANY advice you'd like to share. TIA~!

As far as the DC goes, you can almost always find better discounts, unless you are interested in the souvenirs, which you stated that you are not. There really are no other good perks for the DC anymore, except for the magazine subscription.

Regarding the tickets, I would recommend going the Connections route (as we are going to do in April). You may even find it a handy service to keep, rather than cancelling within your 1 month period. At this time, they are definitely the cheapest ticket prices that I have found.

Have fun in your planning & WELCOME to the boards!!

You could always buy your tickets through AAA. The discount isn't that great, but it would probably save you a few bucks.

DC will save you $10. on hoppers and $16. on hopper Plus tickets.
