I'm headed down to Vero Beach Dec 18-22. We're planning to drive to Disney for a day. I'm a Disney veteran but I've never been during the Holidays. Trying to decide what to do. Is there an official Hotel Lobby tour? Which of the parks is best at night? Is Wishes completely different for the Holidays? How long in advance do we have to line up for the candle light processional if we chose that, or is there a way to make reservations? I know Jungle Cruise has a Holiday re-theming. Are there any other rides that do? If you only had one day, what would you do? We might do a park hopper so we can do a couple things.

One time we did Epcot, MGM, and MK in one day, we ate and rode as many things as possible & it was a blast challenging ourselves and we actually got A LOT in. But since we have a 4 hour round trip drive. I want to take it easier this go around.

Thanks everyone!!

Oh that is tough. If I was really trying to fit in as much as possible I'd hit the MK in the morning, visit the GF and WL lobbies, head to Epcot for lunch and 5pm CP (I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time waiting for bracelets or on standby so would book the CP dining package), then boat over to DHS for the Osbourne lights. If Wishes was late that night I might even head on back to the MK for Wishes and then close that park out. I have been known to be just about the last one out of the park at night. :rolleyes1

The last two Christmas parties at MK are on the 18th & 19th, and cost approximately $70 pp and the park is closed to other guests. You can see the Christmas parade and the special Christmas fireworks plus meet characters not usually in attendance. The number of tix are limited. If you are planning on going on either of these two dates and do not have a party ticket, you will be escorted to the front gates.

Look for a thread started by Campbellsoup (sorry if spelling is incorrect) that will show what the party has to offer. Great thread with a lot of info regarding the party.

Starting the 20th, these special attractions are offered on a daily basis through the holidays, with the exception of the extra characters in their Christmas attire.

The hotels seem to appeal to all, especially Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge, the hotels by Epcot, Animal Kingdom Lodge. I was going to copy and paste my info on the resorts, but I am at about 10 pages now. (This will be my first Holiday trip and I have been researching like crazy!)

The Studios has Osborne Lights. Epcot has Holiday Illuminations.

There is a ton of info on Christmas festivities on this board! Seek and ye shall find!

There is also a lot of info at easywdw.com, and I'm sure if you google Christmas at Disneyworld you will come across a lot more info.

Get reading and have a great trip, whatever you decide to do, just know - one day will be tough!
