Hello Everyone,
My head is swimming with house details after looking at so many different homes in so many different communities over the last couple weeks. I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask here :)

Our trip isn't until August 2012 and I thought I found the perfect house http://www.vrbo.com/32153 only to find it booked up later the same day we first inquired about it.

Here is our wish list if anyone knows of a house they could recommend:
1. 4 or 5 bedrooms
2. 2 king master suites
3. Pool
4. Hot tub (not a deal breaker)
5. BBQ
6. Nice backyard pool view (would love a lake view)
7. Fairly close to Disney World
8. Need one bedroom for my 2 daughters (some sort of theme would be an added bonus)
9. Game room or video games would be nice but not necessary

We will be staying for 14 nights and I am trying to stay under $2500 if possible.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have!

Here is the house we stayed at a few weeks ago. We absolutely loved it, everything was great, and the owner-Johnny was easy to work with and may be willing to negotiate on price if you work with him directly.

It looks like you prefer the Sunset Lakes subdivision - I love the views as well.

We use Florida Sun Vacation Homes, and they have a couple of 4 BR homes in Sunset Lakes. One of them seems to fit all your criteria (lakefront, hot tub, game room and 2 King size beds) - can't recall the name. I wanted to stay there our last trip but hubby insisted on Windsor Hills.

You would probably stay within your budget as they offer 15% discounts on stays of longer than 7 nights.

Here is the link to the website if you want to check it out:

This is the house we always stay at and isn't to far from Disney.. 15 minutes to the Disney exit on I4 and then another 5-10 to the parking lots depending which one you go to. FYI... The pictures on there don't do the house justice.

The only thing is they don't have you were hoping is the game/play room (the garage you can actually park in if you want) and themed rooms. They do have 2 master bedrooms that have their own bathrooms and the other 2 bedrooms share a bathroom.

The house is in Sandy Ridge.

Romancing the mouse! Windsor Hills is close and fabulous! Just stayed in Jan.

Thank you all for the wonderful suggestions so far! I am looking into all of them :) I really appreciate hearing from people that have stayed at the places before.

We stayed here recently (Feb) and loved it. It's a bit bigger than you wanted, but why not? LOL! Looks like the cost would be slightly less than $2000, so within your budget. I'd always opt for more space. The reason we selected it was because it had two identical master suites on opposite corners, which made it ideal for a two family share. The parents had the same bedroom, without concern to which got the "better" room, KWIM? There was another bedroom with an ensuite, one downstairs with a "virtual" ensuite (right next door) and the other two bedrooms had a jack and jill bath in between. It was a great design! Also, a full gameroom, a quiet room, and two family rooms, both with large tvs...perfect for when the younger ones wanted to do video games or watch something different than the adults in the party.

If anything, it looked better than the photos.

Good luck!!!

Had a few minutes so I thought I would break down your wishlist for romancing the mouse.

Here is our wish list if anyone knows of a house they could recommend:
1. 4 or 5 bedrooms -5 bedrooms
2. 2 king master suites- all bedrooms can be arranged twin or king
3. Pool - yes, with free pool heat. This made it the winner for us vs. anything else we could find.
4. Hot tub (not a deal breaker)yes
5. BBQ yes, with free fuel
6. Nice backyard pool view (would love a lake view) there is a lake view, the lake was a little 'slimy' when we were there; nothing the homeowner can do about it though. Also had a hot air balloon taking off the first day so that was pretty too.
7. Fairly close to Disney World-VERY close.
8. Need one bedroom for my 2 daughters (some sort of theme would be an added bonus) (not cartoon themed, but fun. There was a 'kite' room and a 'surfboard' room.
9. Game room or video games would be nice but not necessary- there is a pool table in the 5 bedroom and an extensive list of video games you can check out.

We will be staying for 14 nights and I am trying to stay under $2500 if possible. - I did NOT check this part.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have![/QUOTE]

www.houseforrentflorida.net The houses are also on VRBO.

These houses are in Indian Creek so there isn't a lake view or anything. However, they are extremely close to Disney World and one of the houses has a hot tub.

We are renting the Dream House for 8 days in June for $949 total. We booked late so a lot of the other good houses on VRBO were already taken when I started to look. I was thrilled to find this house! I have rented thru VRBO 3 times before and this owner has been the best so far. He is very prompt in answering all e-mails and his houses have lots of great reviews on VRBO.

We would have liked a lake view as well as a hot tub (dream house doesn't have one) but it wasn't a deal breaker for us. We figure that we will spend almost all of our time in the parks anyway. I would rather be closer to Disney, spend less money, etc than pay more for a view. In addition, a good owner and mgmt company is everything when renting. So far, I think we have found one that we really like.

I am sooo excited about our trip! I feel more comfortable with Michael than I have any other VRBO owner we have had in the past. I saw his houses on VRBO with high ratings but also saw that a few Dis Board members loved them and that was enough for me. Can't wait.

Wow, how ironic... I'm just in the middle of considering one of Michel's houses (Rock N' Roll). I'm happy I stumbled upon this post.

Almost all the pool homes are really nice, I have rented 4 times. I know how confusing it can be, so have some deal breakers for eliminating a home. Mine is pvt. pool meaning not seeing a neighbor to the left or right. Everyone has their own deal breaker, so add that in and it may help you.
